I best fit up an exploration ship and quickly nab all of those 200+ signatures I saw while picking up regional market junk.

Just because they aren't respawning in your same system, or the next systems over, doesn't mean they're not respawning at all.

You know, they don't put the word 'explore' in 'exploration' for nothing...

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

So yah wanna explore in high sec. Get up early. I do mean "early". Exploration, or scanning for sites, is not new, and by now we've got a cadre of folks that are pretty good at it. Be assured, these are the early birds just after downtime. You want to explore in high sec you have to hit that morning commute at 0-dark thirty and drink that coffee from behind the wheel.

Where is it that exploration sites never spawn, again? Epic arc agent or mission locations, or something (iirc)? I seem to recall something about whole constellations that will never have exploration sites.

Due to the high amount of competition in high security, exploration sites are scarce so be prepared to do some traveling. To be competitive you'll need to scan and complete them asap. Having high skill level and a good ship fit is paramount in being a good explorer.

On top of that the best option is to look in systems that are away from major trade and mission hubs. Check Starmap stats for low amount of population, low amount of jumps, low amount of NPC kills, etc.

After an exploration site is completed it will respawn somewhere else, either in the same Constellation or in the same Region so you'll have to set up routes that transverse large areas. Exploration is hit or miss, feast or famine. Some areas are hot at specific times while at other times it's not. That's why it's best to set up different routes in various areas as well as scan them at different time zones. If one route seems void of sites, move on to another route.

In order to minimize stress on the server node exploration sites don't spawn in major trade hub systems.

Exactly. Of course they respawn - nothing to do with downtime. Just a lot more explorers in highsec.
