When I boot up the game using DirectX 9 I notice that my mouse arrow is lagging and has a weird translucent square surrounding it when I pan across the screen. (DirectX 9 must be used in order to view the Mumble overlay.) This has been happening for the last month. Prior to that DX9 worked without a problem for several months. The problem is not related to Mumble, as it happens even when Mumble is not booted up.

I have tried running the Eve repair tool, uninstalling/reinstalling the game, and updating all drivers to no effect.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. Not having the Mumble overlay sucks!
