EVE Client crashes when jumping to new system

Ever since Incarna when i went from one system to the next my graphics driver would crash. When Crucible came online, that stopped, finally. Then the next update came and it started again. But after the most recent patch, the client has been crashing the driver, then recovering, but in the background. I can hear the game running, music sounds and the like, but i can't see my mouse cursor and I can't get my visual up and running again afterwards. I can't click on anything, no mouse, nothing.

Only way to get control of my system again is control alt delete and end task on eve (using windows 7).

So, whats causing that problem? I know i shouldn't be playing EVE on a sony laptop, but it's what i got ya know?

What do I do to get my client back?

Am having a similar problem, but my client isn't crashing. It ist just hanging there after a jump while it seems to be waiting for the information to load up the zone.

I'm wondering if they changed something recently to remove the message you would get when loading a system for the first time. So instead of getting the "Your character is located within xxxxxx, which is currently loading. Please try again in a moment." it just pauses.

There's a thread about this here -- it does seem to be linked to onboard Intel graphics chips, and they're looking into it.

I don't have an intel graphics chip, I am using nvidia and an AMD cpu on an asus board. There isn't a chip on the whole thing as far as I know made by intel.

I'm still having the same problem, it is alleviated temporarily by closing the client out and reopening in but this is really making the game unplayable for me. I live in 0.0 space. Initially I wasn't that worried about it, I figured it the zone wasn't loading for me, I wasn't loading for the zone. Wrong. Today when the game finally decided to load the zone up I was sitting there unclocked off the gate. Luckily the guys I was trailing after didn't double back.

Eve has crashed on me 4 times today already. The latest patch to the client is probably the likely cause.

Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round.

I'm pretty sure this is the same problem we're having with the intel chipsets, pretty much the i3, i5, and i7s with integrated graphics onboard. There's already a relatively large thread on it if you want to read and post something else to it.

Hey all, one of the best things you can do is submit bug reports to the devs and run Log Server while you reproduce the issue. F12 is the way to start a bug report while in game BTW, then once you've submitted your report, save your log server log and submit it out of game on the bug reports page. This sounds the same as a similiar issue that I've been working on that the devs have said they are attempting to reproduce, so the more information they have on your system specs, the more likely than can reproduce it and then try to conjure a fix for it.
