Sorry if this has already been answered, but on the 'Manufacturing List' tab, where does it get the list of regions under 'Location' ('Base' tab)? For Station and Outpost it's a very small list that doesn't seem to have anything to do with where I have assets, and I'd much rather have a complete list to choose from.

Hi there!

This tool happens to fill a void I'm looking at and running into an issue with, but it appears to be non-working. I've added all my API keys, including a full corp API for good measure, but it doesn't appear to be able to pick up the number of jobs running per-character for some reason. It also doesn't appear to be iterating over the available assets. Is there a debug log or something like that I could check into? I'm particularly looking to see how many research/production jobs are in per-character, it's getting difficult to track at the 20+ char mark.

Thanks!

Best 3rd party industry tool available by a long way! Even better than the paid ones. It can be quite over whelming when you first open it but it's quickly learn able and once setup requires minimal clicks.

Thanks to this tool I was able to build up a small fortune, buy a new character and move onto other things.

Manufacturing is still a huge focus of mine, however I no longer use this application, I developed my own spreadsheets.
Not to say that IPH isn't great, but that if you have a focus building your own spreadsheet with everything you need is the way to go.

For general industry related things and starting out IPH is great!

I have been using this program for a while now, and its great. Though I have a few questions if anybody could please assist.

First Question
When I am planning a production run in the "blueprints" tab, there is a Lines and BPs area where total runs is filled in. I have been producing moderate sized runs of T2 ships. However I have noticed that when I buy what is on the planned production run shopping list, I find myself short in the last ship.

I'm pretty sure this has to do with rounding errors, because it would work if I had done say 20 T2 ships in that one run. However generally those would be split up in smaller groups do to the max runs of invented bpc's.

In one instance I did 8 T2 ships of one type. I had 4 blueprints with two runs each, ME 4 TE14. So when I placed them into IPH I would say Lines=4 and BPs=4. This didn't seem to adjust anything except for the total production time. The shopping list for components remained the same, and I keep having to add a smidgen more to complete the last run because each component would be off by a relatively small quantity.

So that concerns me because it would mean the costs are not calculated correctly in the way I put it in. I know it's still profitable because I account for it and a potential drop in sell price when I plan my runs. However it would be helpful if my operation ran smoother and I didn't have to fix the last run all the time by producing more components or keeping an inventory.

I like to run a lean operation so I can keep as much as my capital re-invested as possible using a JIT system. How can I better use IPH to make it more accurate?

Second Question

Is there a place where Price import types are better explained?

I typically use Minimum Sell because I know it works off the current sell orders availability. I already can use my instinct and the market information to determine how much I think the sale price would be. However I'm curious about percentile sell and buy.

Overall I would just like to know more about what each option means, and how the program will use it. I feel I could be making better projections and find new opportunities.

Third Question

How does IPH calculate the profitability of reactions?

For example some reactions require multiple towers. In one case it took two towers, each of which costs on average 700,000 isk per hour for fuel. So I place Hourly POS FUel Cost=700,000 and Number of POS=2. That should give it a sum of 1,400,000 IPH in fuel cost.

Then it lists the reactions, some with say 800,000 IPH. Now from what I can tell, some of those values are incorrect, because it seems the program doesn't compensate for the minimum number of towers needed automatically (thats why you fill it out). So you need to look at the required materials and determine how many POS will be required, then make adjustments to see it's true profitability.

However, I am wondering if the IPH listed uses the number of POS for something other than fuel costs. This would be important because if your using two towers, but have twice the output, that doubles the profitability. If the program is not compensating for the increased output, but does compensate for the costs, you will see the value understated.

nvm, someone told me thukker only applies to capital, so no point in appear as selectable option :(

Quote:
I'm trying to select "Thukker Component Assembly Array" as infrastructure to manufacture components (either in the component BP or the T2 ship BP at 'component manufacture'), but no matter if I select a hs/ls/ns system, it doesn't appear as selectable option (only can select "Component Assembly Array". Any chances I'm doing it wrong? or (improbably) it's a bug?

btw very nice tool, thanks for your hard work :)

Maybe someone can help me out...

I have been receiving an error "unable to update all Price volume data at this time". Anyone else getting this? I'm assuming not since I haven't seen this reported anywhere yet. It's been going on over the past two weeks. Not sure if I missed a check box somewhere but everything seems to be in order. I am trying to make calculations in the Manufacturing List tab. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Probably a bug.

When You have like 3 BP and 3 lines it will count materials like for 1 line and 1 bpo - like if You have 3 x Capital Capacitor Control Circuit I Blueprint - with 3 lines it will show you need 999 x Melted Capacitor Console for 10 runs (one 999). But if You want to actually use 3 BP with 3 lines it will require 1000 (300/300/400).

Looks like http://eve-marketdata.com/ is down (whether permanently down or temporarily I don't know). That's what's used for the market volumes.

Edit: The site appears to be back and the price volume seems to be working again.

IPH can calculate best decryptor. See the Manufacturing tab where you can select any number of the decryptors to run a comparison

It only calculate one run and ME = 4, but most of the profits are from {runs*ME*material} and not every decryptor have ME4 and 1 run output

Err, no, it certainly can calculate ME other than 4 (don't you mean 2, the default), look on the Manufacturing tab.

1 run yes that's what the manufacturing tab calculates at, but that's easy enough to get around and personally I prefer knowing that with decryptor 1 has 633 522 ISK profit per run and with decryptor 2 I have 788 966 profit per run as it means I don't have to fetch out a calculator to work out if I get more profit from 1 BPC with 9 runs or 3 with 3 each

Been exploring EVE IPH, however I noticed that the manufacturing cost it gave me for one max-researched t1 BPO was ~10% than what fuzzworks calculator gave given equivalent skills and using Dodixie for minerals...still attempting to understand the pricing difference.

Maybe I am missing something, but for some reason it does not list Omson as a selectable manufacturing station in The Forge...?

Edit: And under my assets list it is putting stuff in that system as "Unknown Location"

Is there a way to filter out skinned ships like the sukuuvestaa heron or Inner Zone Shipping Catalyst and items that only come from BPC drops?

http://prntscr.com/6fnu3c As I said PPU value not match. You must build T2s at max runs for more material savings.

I recently changed where I manufacture all my stuff, from a station to a POS. However, even though I've set the POS to my new default facility, it keeps switching back to the old station at seemingly random intervals.

How can I delete the old station, or at least make it stop switching back?

When I load the program, I get an error that I can not download the update. I have ver.3.1 installed. When i do get the base program running and try to update the market prices, it states I can not connect to the eve central server and get prices.. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone, sorry for the absence. I thought my time would free up more after January but it's gotten just as busy so I haven't had a lot of time to do much. My commute and working hours are pretty much 7-7 so that doesn't leave time to do a lot or play much.

Anyway, I've finally gotten around to fixing the NumBPs bug that has caused so many issues. My testing seemed like it had pretty much took care of the issue but it was kind of a bear to do, so please double check numbers. Also, the shopping list may not have everything fixed but I took care of most of the major errors (they were dependent on the numbps fix). I've also taken care of some other issues as listed below.

New Build - Version 3.1.5550.33513

  • Added Tiamat DB and Images
  • New DB should take care of errors with systems not showing like Providence. Please let me know if you do not see your system in the dropdowns.
  • Items should show correct amounts when using more than 1 BP. Double check numbers and let me know if there are any issues. To note, you will see longer calc times when you have a high number of runs with multiple BPs. This is because each batch is calculated separately and then combined.
  • Checking 'Small' for sizes should no longer include all Microwave Crystals in user results.
  • Names of the Mining lasers for the Venture have changed and crashed the mining tab when selected. These have been fixed.
  • You can now select an invention lab for T3 invention in a POS on the manufacturing tab.
  • Auto NumBPs calculation has been updated to be more user friendly.
  • Added threading to the processing for the industry jobs viewer. Users should notice a much smoother interface and less blinking of the screen.
  • The shopping list has been updated to include NumBPs as a value to separate different items and jobs.
  • Because of the way NumBPs affects calculations, the ability to update item amounts in the grid on the shopping list has been disabled.
  • Moving columns on the Manufacturing tab should no longer crash the program when the 'Item Market Price' column is included in the list. Columns should correctly sort and reorder as well.

As always send me info on any issues you have. I'm planning on getting this into the 'normal' download folder and move this out of 'testing' as most of the major errors are corrected. I've also deleted the pastebin file I was using to track current issues since I've basically fixed all that were listed; new errors can just be reported here. Other than that, updates are up in the air until I start a new job in a few months that has a more forgiving schedule.

Thanks!
