Good day.
I would like to know at which rate does the ESS increase the % extra payment. Something like "1% every 100m collected", or however it is. Does anybody know?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't really answer the question at all.

From old dev blog: "The payout percentage fluctuates with pirate activity and can be a substantially high percentage of the base bounty reward."

Note "fluctuates."

The bonus increases over time the ESS is deployed and not touched.

Again, none of the replies really answer the question.

I'm asking for the experience of somebody who really used the structure and KNOWS the answer, not links to dev blogs and wikis, which also give vague or outdated information themselves.

I came up with this so i claim to be first to suggest this novel idea, why don't you launch one ESS and find out the answer by yourself? This way you can be sure that the information aren't outdated.

or maybe there's a reason he can't do it

OP: i don't think anyone will give you any definitive answer - my ess once got up to 5% when there was less than 50 mil in it. another time it wasn't at 5% with 90 already there. It just increases randomly with time and killed npcs

That implies having access to a place where I can buy an ESS, then having access to a system where I can anchor it, and then having enough time to test all the way to 5%, while recording data as to when or under which circumstances the counter increases.

The general answer is that somebody asking this kind of question lacks access to at least one of these things at the moment, but would do an effort to overcome that limitation depending on the answers on this thread. In my particular case, I lack access to a system safe enough so that the ESS can be left there for hours or days; but would look for one if the answer is favorable.

Thanks for your answer. It looks like it's totally random, then. Maybe it's just chance-based, and everytime you kill something, there is a X% chance of increasing the percentage, with X being very low.
