Removal of skill attribute mapping?

Is there a consensus that this is likely to happen?

I've got an alt that I've been delaying moving to a per/will remap because I'm trying to be efficient in knocking out long term int/mem skills.

I'm going to feel foolish if CCP makes all training rates the same in three months.

Attribute removal has been discussed by CCP with the CSM, I think a few times now too, however it is just a discussion point at this time.

I have an alt that hasn't remapped in 5 years. You might want to consider a general remapping. I've posted ample material on the topic.

Have a look at my OP on this issue that was linked in the weekly news roundup a few weeks ago.

My best guess is it is almost a certainty that the learning implants, attribute points, & skill remaps will all be dumped by CCP in favour of a more simplified 'new pilot friendly' system. The CCP consensus seems to be that learning implants etc are a bar to pilots getting involved in PvP. I am expecting them all to go sometime this year so I suggest not hoarding a lot of learning implants and either using them or selling them on.

Obviously the Genolution and 'pirate' type implants will still exist but the attribute points stats will be removed leaving any other skill based bonuses remaining. Personally I would rather see the present system stay as it is but we have to roll with the changes.

Thanks, that gave me enough justification to quit hanging around in an int/mem mapping. Important skills -- but per/will is so more fun!

That's why the most popular general attribute mapping is PER = INT Blink

You can put yourself on a PER/WIL map and literally train for YEARS, but yeah...

I'm sitting on a PER>INT map. No idea how I came to the conclusion that this was a good idea.
But wasting a remap to put it on PER=INT seems even worse... Question

I'm looking forward to see the attribute system go away. Suddenly people can train what they want, when they want and not be penalised for some arbitrary reason. It will make skillsheet cleanups less of a chore for starters.

I wish CCP would give a remap every 6 month anniversary of the toon birthday (and maybe they can be accumulated). That way the skill game is still available and planning is rewarded -- but it's not as punishing as it is now.
