I'm a bit early, but as i am sure i will forget, i'm putting this up now.

11 years ago this month (on the 17th) EA announced the closure of earth and beyond. a few days later i joined EVE on my first account. 1 week later i was hooked by mining.

I'd like to thank EA for closing Earth and Beyond and thank CCP for there first 15 day trials and for giving me an mmo home.

Its been a fun 11 years, though my wife rolls her eyes when i go all eve on her, i'm still really glad i found this game.

On April 1st 2015, DaReaper's 11 year birthday, i'll give away 1b isk to random noobs to celibrate, and launch a few fireworks.

So thank you EA for forcing me here, thank you CCP for giving me a home, and thank you every ever player i have chatted with, made want to bash their head into a desk due to my spelling error on forum post, who have ganked me, war'd with me, and flown with me. Heres to hopefully another 11.

Wow, 11 years. Happy Birthday mate! I went with Jumpgate over Earth and Beyond and EVE Online back then. Still miss Jumpgate and its zero-G joystick physics. But the smartest, most intensively radical, and overall best game did end up winning and ruling them all. Remember AURA's creepy laughing at you if you got podded ('Oh, you foolish pilot....!'), and the splash page links to fiction stories like the "Methods of Torture" series? And the excellent but kind of disturbing oil paintings art?

WTH, what is this intense dark game, with the ugly gothic spaceships? And all connection pings worldwide having to go to single set of servers? I'm worried about bandwidth. What kinds of radical madmen could have dreamed this thing up, actually developed it, and are trying to make a living from it? Smile
