Question, is this legal/allowed?

We are an industrial corp that has been war decced last Saturday.
Up till now, we have stood our ground and kept them from killing enough of their other targets.
Yesterday we got another wardec in from another merc corp, we suspect they were hired by the first one.
And then today we got yet another wardec, also hired by the first merc corp.

Is this considered acceptable use of game mechanics?

If you don't give them gudfites they will leave you alone, undocking and pew pewing them just encourages them.

My suggestion is move all your miners to another corp or join npc and avoid having to deal with the stupidity

In fact game mechanics have nothing to do with this. It's not CCP's fault if all of EVE is ticked off at you. Oh and I can imagine a few more incoming wardecs thanks to this post in GD. It's the forum's way of showing we care.

Well, when you have one of your guys writing a guide on how to run a successful Corp (a complete rubbish one) and telling everyone that you have been kicking ass for the last week, then you should expect more wardecs.
