Claiming your Holiday Gift

What a load of crap. Its things like this that make me wonder why I keep spending my hard earned money to the tune of $60+ A MONTH???


try some constructive criticism brah, not whining like a 4 year old for candy.

anyways, where do i find this aurum gift? in the "redeem gifts" before selecting a character or what? cause i dont see nothing. also, i have received my bonus remap, but dont see the aurum. thnx in advance

I agree with him. They should always be clear on what they are going to give out. Aurum has always been no trade. Even when they were introducing they stated it was going to be no trade until some arbitrary point in the future.

So the gift wasn't regular Aurum. This gift was worth far more then the others, but it wasn't described as *magical* tradable Aurum. I wouldn't have picked it because I hate the whole concept of the NEX store. But I bet alot of people would have picked it up just to sell it.

I find it a bit annoying whenever something happens and people make post like the one I'm quoting... I mean because something didn't go your way (It was a FREE gift) you start talking about "people leaving eve" and "you're out of a job" and my favorite "make me wonder why I keep spending my hard earned money to the tune of $60+ A MONTH???" (You have 4 accounts and don't buy in-game Plex? Must be playing eve wrong)

Post like this probably lead to lulz followed by zero damns being given.

It would be like your wife saying she would leave you and take half of everything with her every time something happened.

I doubt highly that you would leave just because you didn't get exactly what you wanted in your FREE GIFT, and if you do... "Can I haz ur stuff?"

Is there a time limit on the redemption. I chose the +3 implants for one of my accounts, and since I'm in nullsec currently, I'd rather not redeeem until I get back to Jita (which may not be for a week or two.)

Too much work to be worth the time. It's not like any of the gifts are rare ships or anything. I hate petitions.

This is one of those things, if you didn't see the news article about the gift over a week ago, or rarely frequent the forums you get lolscrewed like me.

I'm pretty sure there will be some kind of time limit on claiming them, my guess would be at least until 2012-01-01 00:00 UTC. Maybe a GM can clarify this as I just pulled that out of my ... exhaust thruster port.

I would guess its the 6th of january cause this is the day when we put the x-mas trees away. Plus in Italy and Spain X-mas is on the 6th of january. but if on 2012-01-01 00:00 UTC, then you have 9 days left to get your a** back to jita Poetic Stanziel :)

Hmm.. my holiday gifts seem to be nerfed. With 3 accounts I got 25 pcs large ammo per type and 25 fuel block per type. I thought they were supposed to be 2500 pcs large ammo per type and 1000 fuel blocks per type?

That's 25 Stacks of 40 for the Fuel Blocks, and 25 stacks of 100 for Ammo. They noted this in another thread I saw somewhere.

When you log into your EVE game (after you've put in your password but before you click on the character portrait), look at the bottom center of the screen. There should be an icon that looks like a present that's labeled Redeem Items or something like that.

Of course, that's only if you actually followed the dev blogs and went into Account Management before the 21st and chose one of the items for a holiday present. If you chose a neural remap, it won't be in the redeeming system -- it's automatically applied. Any of the other choices would be in the redeeming system though.

So after the last furore of people complaining that it wasn't clear about claiming the CA-1 or whatever it was, CCP said they'd try and make it clearer.

By not telling people that the 2000 Aur were 2x 1000 vouchers that had a resale value instead of something that a lot of players don't use, this made it clearer how?

Sometimes I wonder if CCP actually think of ways to annoy it's playerbase to encourage the older vets who pay with isk to quit and leave room on the servers for the new players who pay with Credit Card instead, it's a conspiracy I tell you, a conspiracy Twisted

It should have been made clear that it was vouchers, it would have influenced a lot of choices, mine included, but hey what's done is done, and I'm not gonna lose sleep about it.
