Am I Shafted If I Lose Access To My Planetary Interaction Wormhole?

I'm beginning to experiment with Planetary Interaction. I got a small operation running in low-sec in order to learn the mechanics, and now I'm thinking about setting up shop in a wormhole.

What I'm concerned about is what happens if I somehow lose access to my wormhole after I've got my operation running in there. Will I be unable to set up a new PI operation elsewhere, since I already have Command Centers running (uselessly) in w-space?

And verily did Bob say unto me, "Yo, Dawg, I heard you like wormholes so I put wormholes in your wormhole." And it was good.

To answer your questions.
Once you set up your PI in the worm hole and have it running you can't set up anywhere else at the same time unless you didn't use all of your slots, you have 6 at level 5

You can keep the pi in the wormhole going and eventually find your way back to it. I would suggest setting the planets to the highest tier of production for what ever your building as that will give you more time.

One way to solve this problem is to have an alt trained enough to probe and preferably cloak so you can keep in the wormhole and when you find your self unable to get back, log on to it and scan and bm a path, contract the bookmarks to your main and put the alt back inside then switch to your main, retrieve bookmarks, and go to your PI

You can remotely deactivate command centers, you don't need to be in the same system to do this, so the answer is no, you won't be shafted.

You would however probably benefit from trying to find the hole again instead of just starting elsewhere.

You're young, you'll adjust. I'm old, I'll get used to it.

Leave an alt so you can always find the wormhole again. Pretty simple...

I was thinking this might be dependent on the "Remote Sensing" distance. But I just re-read the skill description and looks like I misunderstood. Thanks!

Most definitely. But " stuff " " happens "; I'm just making sure I understand the game mechanics.

Appreciate the tips!

You're only shafted if someone figures out what system you're running PI in and is waiting there for you. But even that is only shafting your ship, not your PI operation.

While leaving an alt in system is the best choice (you can train one up in as little as three days) I will point out that they're corps that offer wormhole locating services for a fee *shameless plug to follow* (Such as my corp wingspan delivery services, please feel free to contact us at any time)
But as the above posters have said an alt will be the most reliable and cheapest option.

you could always just join a Null Sec Alliance and do PI there instead.....no need for a alt to scan you back in to the hole

As I slipped my finger slowly inside her hole, I could immediately feel it getting wetter and wetter.

I took my finger back out and within seconds she was going down on me.

"I really need a new boat," I thought to myself.
