On exploration: I got about halfway through the tutorial and decided it was the worst thing ever. I was convinced I would never go down that obvious fun sucking career path and instead I was gonna focus on industry and combat. A year later, I'm in an exploration focused corp that goes out of it's way to remain peaceful and neutral (read: avoid combat at all costs) and couldn't be happier and having a blast.

Just my two cents.

This type of thing is very common in eve. The game is very deep and what you think that you will like and what you wind up doing are often not the same. Further what you like now and what you will like in a year are often not the same. For these reason and many other's I recommend that very new players not use remaps. However to remain on topic keep this in mind as you play eve. Just because you try something now and don't like it does not mean that your perspective on it won't change as you learn more about the game. As a matter of fact it often does.
