I know you guys need to test some of these things before release, but with things that are supposed to be discovered or revealed, some of us would like to do it live. I HATE watching the feeds of people finding these things like a month before it gets released into the main game. I also think it would would would be more fun watching people lose their **** over these things just happening and not having any warning over it. I want to actually explore Eve and discover new things, not find the same stuff someone else found on the test server a month ago.

I would also like to add that Exploration is a fundamental part of games like Eve, at least to me, and the thrill of discovering new things is always super exciting. That thrill is frequently taken away when you guys implement things on SISI and we find out about it before we even have it on the main server. I get it, a lot of things need to be tested and worked over before it hits Tranq or the whole thing could burn to the ground in a hilarious display. But, some things, like these structures, I feel could at least be well hidden when they are tested on SISI. It would be fun to be super surprised.

Sort of the toss up between being able to test things before release and people failing to put down: spolier alert on their feeds.

Apart from shutting down testing, I don't think there is a lot CCP can do apart from making people sign NDAs and following through with consequences when people break them. Both options seem over the top.

What you are really looking for is common courtesy from testers. IE: if a tester finds something on EVE that is new, they should mark it as a spoiler in addition to the date it was found. Then, at least, you can knowingly avoid visiting such a link/site/youtube/etc.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Indeed, that would be nice. That said, not everything new should be hidden, like new ships are neat and everyone wants to hear about those. But, things that are going to expand the narrative or are supposed to be discovered and the like are things that I feel should be a bit more hidden and players should at least attach a spoiler tag to it, like you said. Either way, I just like discovering new and unseen things. Kind of never really happens in Eve.

Same here. I find everything is fresh and new if I ignore social media and non-TQ youtube links. Also helps when to avoid most threads in the testing forum that are not stickied.

Still... courtesy to one's fellow explorers is far better than revealing the contents of Pandora's box before hand. At least not without warning.

Something that those who discover future (lore related) features could do so that you and others that don't want their experience with such features spoiled would be a spoiler warning.
Posting a YouTube video without any indication that there's future stuff inside might cause such form of frustration.
By the way, you did that too. It'd be great if you could add a spoiler warning, especially in your post where CCP Darwin responded to, which is not in the test server feedback forums. Some might stumble upon it and be faced by an unexpected revelation.

That out of the way: It lies in the nature of test servers where upcoming releases are to be tested, that discoveries of that nature are found and shared by us players. This should'nt be changed. The mechanics around them also need to be tested. The [thing] of your example might have some problems with its 3D model, shaders or ambience.
When the Drifters made their first appearance on Sisi before the Tiamat release, their stats were so weak when compared to now. A Battleship could easily survive their Super Weapon. If CCP would'nt have added them to Sisi, keeping players from experimenting with them, the Drifters really would have a hard time to survive on Tranquility.

Just avoid such videos and be careful what threads you read I would rather risk having something discovered and spoiled for me than something game breaking making it through the cracks like sleeps being able to shoot through POS shields
