fighters r man'ed craft so make it to where u can tell them what to shot at with out looking the target up. so u can tell ur fightes to engage an battleship or a anuther carrier an so on an make them stell beable to warp to u or make them faster an abler to hit frigets with no problum the only thang u should need to lock up in a carrier is when u are repearing a nuther ship or giveing some cap.

I think he's trying to communicate with us.

Don't be mean. Mabey he doesn't speak English well. We have German and French guys in our alliance who type the same way. It's easier to understand them over comms... Slightly. What I think the OP is suggesting is having a pre-set target for fighters to engage upon launching them instead of acquiring agro or swnding them after a targeted enemy. I like this idea and would like it to be expanded on drones as well. Pre-set drones and fighters to either be;

Aggressive - Attack all non-fleet or blue members or as predetermined with an alternate FOF system.
Defensive - Only engages when host or friendly ship is attacked.
Loiter - Will orbit host ship until specific command is given.

Based on what I've seen, he's more likely from the Bronx than from Berlin. This is what public schools are putting out right now.

Well that isn't out of the question either. However I always thought EVE's "S" shaped learning curve filtered out the majority of Thug Life University and College of Duty.

So, slightly translated.

As for the idea, -1.
Give them the command to just shoot another battleship, what do you do if there's 200 battleships on grid? Friend or foe? There's a reason you need to lock a target, so you specifically can say: Go attack THAT target! Attack a random [ship class] seems dumb and might as well be the normal defensive aggression.

Warp removal, wrong thread.
Also giving them enough speed to deal with frigates would be slightly overpowered (Fighters moving 5k/sec? No thanks), and it makes no sense to give them that to compensate for the possibly removal of warping (how does warping help them hit frigates?)

this wouldn't be all that hard to do rather than needing a lock just let me R-click the ship and be given an option in the drop down that says Engage.

however i would say that if this happened scan res on a fighters would need to be lowered a little bit more

It's just a spin on "guard".

I mean, a terrible one, but a spin on that nonetheless.
