Since mining now has changed a bit with the reprocessing changes I was wondering which of the 2 implants that would be best to use:

Inherent Implants 'Highwall' Mining MX-1005
that gives a 5% bonus to mining yield.

or

Zainou 'Beancounter' Reprocessing RX-804
that gives a 4% bonus to ore and ice reprocessing yield.

would I benefit more from the little bit of extra ore compared to the better reprocessing yield of 4%?

I believe your best bet would be to use the mining implant and compress your ore at a POS for sale. Since null has a large buff to reprocessing, it is usually worth the logistics to move compressed ore to null to reprocess, so the value of compressed ore is usually higher than the value of the minerals if reprocessed in high.

This is of course assuming you are in high, and have access to a POS P

You can have your cake and eat it too.

Investigate jump clones for multiple implant sets.

He doesn't even really need to do that. Highwall mining implants are slot 10 and Beancounter reprocessing implants are slot 8.

Get both. If you can't afford both, get Highwall. 5% > 4% with the added benefit that you can choose to compress and aren't pigeonholed into refining.

If you are mining you need the MX-1005 as it gives 5% bonus to mining yield.

If you are using minerals and/or doing manufacturing yourself you need the RX-804 implant.

If you are just mining to sell directly what you mine for ISK then you DON'T need the RX-804 implant. Buy a small tower and compression array, which will be a lot cheaper, and compress your ore before sale. You will get a better price and be able to sell it more easily.
