I like the opaque warp tunnel...

Now when you fly through planets, the warp tunnel turns opaque which helps the immersion some because a warp bubble isnt neccesarily a trip through normal space and thus allows you to fly through planets and structures...or something like that.Ugh

Thing is, I like it so much I would like it on all the time. Do you think we could have a graphics option that allows us to turn it on permanently so it's visible all the time and not just when you fly through planets?

Same. Want it on all the time.

If anyone ever looks at you and says,_ "Hold my beer, watch this,"_  you're probably going to want to pay attention.

I'd rather keep it as it is. It's more "special" this way.

+1 for keeping it on all the time.

At least make it an option.

When I first saw it, I was disappointed it wasn't like that all the time.

It looks awesome when you come out of warp and it's like you're exiting a tunnel.

I like to see the stars and space around me.

I WOULD NOT want to see an opaque setting EVERYTIME I warped. If its an option to do so, I'd be fine with that.

-100 for keeping it all the time
+1 for making it an option for players.

when I warp through a planet, I always think, "who turned off the lights"?

And here's a slight twist on the subject...

I have a bookmark that lands me in the middle of a planet.
What happens is you get the regular warp effect, then the opaque tunnel effect, then when you land ::poof:: the planet disappears and you are sitting in open space.
It would be kinda neat-o if when you landed everything went pitch black instead.
And then one by one all the souls from all the lifeless corpses that have littered eve begin to appear around you and sing O Fortuna.
And then, um, well whatever else you might want to toss in there...

Just a thought

Yes, I really like this idea, but, you know, it should really be an option to choose between O Fortuna or Ode to Joy.

I prefer to keep it for those special occasions. If it happens all the time, it won't be as cool.

I LOVE exiting warp through a planet and a station suddenly comes into view. That kicks ass :)

So, to sum things up, we want:
1) An option to keep the 'tunnel warp' effect always on
2) I recommend it be active at speeds above a specific limit, for security reasons. 1 AU/sec sounds reasonable enough.
And yes, I want it too. +1
