Hi all,

I am recently experiencing Eve restarting my computer after even 5mins of game play. just a full restart back to POST. no blue screen of death no freezing in game, nothing but a full computer restart... GPU/CPU all temperatures are fine. (GPU - 70-90degrees Celsius, CPU 55-60degrees Celsius).

I am also playing Skyrim, Deus Ex Human Revolution, League of Legends - ALL with NO issues or restarts whatsoever.

All drivers up to date (nothing had been changed or installed when this started happening, the week after all the extended downtimes)

I have ran Prime95 for 1hr30mins, with no errors, multiple times.
I have ran 3dMark over and over with no problems, restarts blue screens or anything.

i am running Win7 Ultimate 64bit
Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+
Gigabyte GeForce 8800GT
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS3 Motherboard
6GB RAM

i have tried graphics drivers, Eve Repair tool as well and still no fix

Any help would be appreciated. ive had an account since 2/3/2010 and this is the first time this has happened.

Thanks.

the temperature seems bit high to me.

Does the computer crash in any specific situation (any specific action)?

The only suggestion I have now is to try to reinstall eve. Maybe it helps.

Win 7 will restart the computer when running into a bluescreen by default, and you will actually not see the bluescreen at all in most cases. This behavior can be changed in the "Startup and Recovery" section of the "Advanced system settings" (right click on your computer in the start menu, select "Properties" and click on the "Advanced system settings" link there).

However, most crashes like this with this graphics card and EVE are the result of very old drivers (2007/8 versions usually), so make sure to really have the latest driver versions. If that's not it, Windows usually creates a crash dump in such cases (the name can be found in the same section where you can change the restart behavior on bluescreens, by default it should be C:\Window\MEMORY.dmp). Get that file into a petition to us (along with the DxDiag file of your machine) so we can have a closer look at it.
