It's been 5 days since we started this public fleet and things are going great. We've noticed a lot of regular users and people have even started telling their friends.

Lots of people are using our ore buying programs and we've been told that we are offering very fair prices.

Come get involved. Free Boosts.

Greetings, firstly, this is a great idea, i am going to start my own one in the starter systems to get miners more social and the like, and secondly, me and my corporation are currently getting involved in the mining trade to fund out own manufacturing, and i will be an Orca pilot by the weekend, if you need extra support let me know, i have already got the hanger full of combat ready ships if needed, and i do not AFK Orca control, i kinda like just sitting there watching :)

Give me an EVEmail if your interested in extra Orca help or in 3-4 extra miners (1 Ventures, 3 Barges).

Hope to hear from you! And good to hear it is working out for you thus far!

Would just like to thank everyone that has got involved so far.
The community is growing and we have been guiding newer players into what they enjoy doing in eve.

We are looking into ship replacement programs for miners as well as free skill books for newer players.

These will all be things that will start to appear the larger we grow. We're all about helping you.

This is an outstanding service and I applaud your selfless devotion to helping us out and increasing maximum yields!

What used to be a time consuming process has now been greatly simplified and streamlined. I cannot wait to join the fleet in system and simply warp to zero on unsuspecting Joe Miner and process their mining buddy membership application!

As a peaceful industrialist I wholeheartedly support Mighty Enterprises.

I would note that members in the fleet currently receiving boosts also gain increased Armour and Shield hit points.

Also anyone in anything other than a ship for mining or hauling is swiftly removed from fleet and blacklisted.

Apologies.

Some fleet members may want to fly with ECM frigates to try to provide anti-gank services, or simply use a combat ship to clear rats. Just something to keep in mind.

Personally I don't think I'd even bother with a blacklist for the fleet. It's extra work that provides little benefit. Gankers can still use a neutral mining character in fleet to scout out prey and a cloaked ship to provide the warp in (or just make a bookmark of a nearby asteroid). As for chat, blacklist is good if someone's being disruptive, but regardless you'll still need to assume that gank alts are in your chat.

I think a good option could be to set up a mailing list with some solid, tanked mining ship fits, and provide a ship replacement option for losses that use those fits (exceptions for minor changes like meta modules instead of T2, since not everyone has the same fitting skills. As long as people aren't fitting stupidly expensive faction gear or something pointless like a shield booster and have a good tank on their ship.)

Here's a decent all-round Retriever fit that I'm fond of if it helps. 20.3k EHP tank at all 5 skills for both Antimatter and EM (Catalysts and Thrashers) according to Pyfa, and still provides a good mining yield.

Btw, what faction space do you usually do this fleet in? (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, or Minmatar) I ask because I know there's a different public fleet that operates out in Caldari space in The Forge region.

How could you not approve of this? Anything that gets people off the couch and into the belts has got to be nothing but good.

Lonetrek.

The miners that use the fleet are happy with the service. We have maximum mining yield boosts with implants and max skills.

We have had very few successful ganks to users of our fleets and are discussing other benefits to offer. We don't want to start offering something and have it flop as a half arse'd attempt. We're hoping to keep this fleet going for the foreseeable future.

We do have provide links to fits in the fleet and public channel MOTD's.

Publicly advertising that you have an orca/booster ship sitting in a system, probably unattended, is a great way to get your stuff blown up.

Just sayin.

It's in a safe place.

By safe I hope you mean having a fast interceptor burn at max velocity out past an asteroid belt of the furthest orbiting planet in a system for 30 minutes to an hour and then book marking a safe location.

I wonder what happens if you just burn away the furthest point in a solar system? I wonder what you'll find.

So those looking to join this fleet should beware of inconspicuous looking Retrievers or other mining vessels warping near to your location, as they could be fitted with a ship scanner looking to see if your fitted with shiney mining goodies.

I'm not saying the fleet organisers are bad, but who so say they are not affiliated with the naughty naughty's of EvE...

I've done most activities in eve. I was even once involved in some freighter ganks. Mostly to say I have done it and so I can have an opinion. I didn't even get a pay out :(

As you said, there is no way to know if we are or are affiliated with another entity, just note that ganking the miners in the fleet would not only be harder because the boosts include increased shield hp and resists. but also that it would be counter productive to the fleets purpose.

The fleet was formed to supply Mighty Enterprises with more ore to run mass production operations.
I believe we pay a good price for the ore we acquire when you consider boosts, tiny broker fee for private contract and not having to transport.

We are continuously looking to acquire more ore because Jita buy orders are not supplying our demand.

Trust me, I'm blue

Ore delivery's are going great.

The increased ore prices in Jita caused large spikes in the prices of Veldspar and Plagioclase in particular. We continued to line the wallets of the peoples selling to use and will continue to do so!

Fleet will be going up again today at 15:30 eve time. Come get free boosts and increased yields.

You're showing great organization and promotion skills. Kudos for getting miners to be more social and work together. You're making yourself a target -- but it's content creation.

If you get your miners to operate in tanked Procurers and Skiffs you'll do a lot to deter the gankers - just check out the tears about the skiff fleets in Crime and Punishment.

It looks like you picked that system because of the large number of belts. You might consider Uosusuokko for the .7 sec status bump when trouble is around.

Also, it can be fun to setup alts in next door systems to act as pickets. Or sit in stations where the gankers are basing out of to know when they are mobilizing for an attack.

Great idea & implementation.
About the gankers, have some1 log into a throwaway alt every so often and use an ibis to shoot anything at the primary field. This draws concord into the system & on grid. Response time is greatly improved.
