See that's the thing, "notable" is not actually exclusive of "good" or "skilled." For instance, the film Plan 9 From Outer Space is notable partly due to how terrible it is. When the US elects our first female president, she will be notable just for making that milestone, even if she has a kind of middling administration.

I feel like you should rename your thread "PVP wormhole corps with a hugely successful recent killboard history" based on the comments you've made to Gladgow alone.

Please comprehend everything I've written. Did I not ask what he considers notable about his corp/alliance? That was pretty much an offer to get them back on the list. I also added that condition to OP, which effectively lowers whatever standards this thread inherited.

And, yes, it just happens to be a higher kill rate that made the current members notable. You can be notable for other things, of course, but I've yet to see any other type apply.

So, if you're all done trying to **** on this list because you were denied it, remember that you did see it as something you wanted to be an item on. There's one simple requirement now, because of this bickering; what makes yours a notable corp or alliance?

Killing 30b in a month as a wormhole corp and then trying to pass yourself off as a Notable/PVP entity is laughable. Personally, If I was running this list, I would set the mark at 100b+ and if you couldn't maintain month to month you're audi 5000 m8.

Removing one of the longest standing wormhole corporations in the game today from the list because they had a bad month? Err.

Maybe work to add more corporations/alliances to the list instead of removing at first chance?

This list is very good for newcomers to w-space to find a corporation, and I really think we should strive to spread people around all of w-space and not just keep pointing them towards the already big groups. This seems more of an e-peen competition now than a useful list of active high and low class groups.

@Xtrah - give me some credit - I dug deeper than that, looking at WORMHOLE kills, etc. There are a couple handfuls who outperform TDSIN who aren't even on this list. It's not my job to find notability for them. Maybe being around so long counts toward that? I don't know, but I did ask them what made them notable; no response. I went so far as to ask Natasha Donnan to add Wingspan so I have some evidence of some impact they have on w-space. It's all I have to go on, really.

This is what "Join W-Space" is for. There's a player-submitted list of notable and lesser known corps in the MOTD.

I feel like people aren't reading the OP...

@Hidden - I'll try to not call out other corporations / alliances who have had similar results to TDSIN in the past months, but there are a few, most specifically Low-Class. We've been pretty much neck and neck with them the past 6 months or so in w-space kills (baring an exceptional month from either group). So I guess what makes us "notable" is the fact we're consistently on par with other groups on the list yet not included.

Contrary to popular belief, it does not mean highest KB stats.

From my EU/c5-perspective, there is not really any notable group around besides Ixtab., but that doesn't mean there are none besides them. Odin's call is also a group I have more frequently shooting me than lazerhawks for example.

You find the same people from last year in different corporations again this year. Every year. If you go through your list of *notable* corporations, it most certainly looks like it. There is no actual *fresh* or *new* corp on there, it's just vet-heaven (besides low-class).

I mean, sudden buggery., notable. Totally not biased.

Seriously, though... Why are you telling me? You haven't been following, huh? Have you gone back and read the OP? I've even mentioned it being updated. Like... I'm trying harder than I need to for this ******** list.

Kill stats - they're my only metric, which is why I've added the new requirement in OP. I know it's not just about KB stats, but that's all I have to go by. I'm not going to do any more work than I already am. People who want on this list can declare their points of notability. I had Adhoc up there for a while, despite being more/less inactive, because they actually had people teaching w-space skills.

I've removed one more - the others fill a niche geographical area or have actually killed quite a bit. IT'S ALL I HAVE TO GO BY, LOLOL.

Waiting for the next person to say how much notability is not defined by KB stats.

So here's the thing, the definition of "Notable" is whatever hidden wants it to be since he's the OP. I'd be happy to debate our definitions of the word, all you need to do is give us your definition and tell me why my viewpoint is incorrect.

What if we based "notability" off of news articles written about/by xyz corp, or by podcasts produced by xyz corp. ..think of the possibilities!!!
