Doubles for low sec combat sites.

Slowly getting bored with the sites and traffic in hisec, I've decided to challenge myself by heading for low sec combat anomalies and signature sites. I doubt I'll be able to do the harder ones comfortably, so I'm bringing my alt along for the ride as well..

My trouble is this.. I have absolutely no idea which two ships to bring.
So I was hoping for some suggestions.

One of my main concerns ofc is getting attacked while in a site, and I would like to at least have the opportunity, by way of drones, to break away from a single attacker warp scrambling me.

No experience with droneboats, thought if they are the best for these kind of sites, it's time to learn I guess.

Thx in advance for any suggestion or builds, pros and cons etc.

well any site you have to scan down, a hunter will have to scan down as well unless they live there and happen to have it bookmarked.

This means by good use of d-scan you shouldn't have any issues with getting killed, though this could be harder when managing 2 ships.

As for what ships, dual caracals could work pretty well on low sp. Once you get a bit more sp you can start looking into HACs and T3s or even tactical destroyers could be good.

Skillwise I'm able to fly dual tengus max subs and hacs I've used to great success in hi-sec. I have however had very little luck when in low sec putting d-scan to proper use (by the time I see combat probes is usually when I'm already locked and dead). Tengus while able to put up a fight, I think but have no way of disengaging when in unfavorable terms to my knowledge so I'm not keen on them.

If 2 caracals are enough I reckon 2 cerberi would be even better then..
