so how do I actually redeem my holiday gift?

Logged in to account management on both my accounts - neither has the option to redeem the xmas-present.
Both chose the neural remap - and I've verified in-game that I have not received it automatically.
@CCP - do I have to add burden to your GM's by petitioning or is this just some snafu that'll sort itself out during office-hours?

All games have QQ, but only Eve has Q.Q

There are a substantial number of folks with problems regarding the neural remap gift.

I suggest waiting until after downtime. If it isn't resolved then, it is petition time.

BTW, there is already a thread on this exact issue. Did you look for it?

Glad you found it.

There is also one over on Failheap Challange. But really, no additional information is to be had.

It is a shame no one from CCP has posted about this apparent, so far, Scrooging of Christmas for some.
