So I decided spur of the moment that I was going to make the trip to fanfest this year. I am making the trip solo and am looking for a group of people (slightly younger 25-35 range) to party with for the weekend.

Am friendly and open for anything really, just looking to have a good time, PM me

Cheers

Ageism.....

Solecist Project...." They refuse to play by the rules and laws of the game and use it as excuse ..." " They don't care about how you play as long as they get to play how they want."

Welcome to EVE.

Age range that I would generalize with and have the most in common with (outside EVE), but open to any age range

If at some point you're in need of a party posse at Fanfest:

  1. Check in on the local establishments (bars & pubs a good place to start) Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evening
  2. Try shouting "Skál"
  3. Talk to other players (identified by participation)
  4. ?
  5. Board the Friendship!

Repeat as necessary.

I'd like to add while most people will come to these events to enjoy the conference schedule, we're really making the trip to meet and hang out with friends and make new friends. We end up talking less about Eve outside the events and spend more time getting to know the people we play the game with. Translation... we're less interested in talking about that Rifter fit once we are out drinking.

And that my friend is your Fanfest PROTIP of the day.

While I see what you're driving at, I think you're being slightly misrepresentative of what ultimately is a very large, varied group of people. In and out of venue I've had marvellous chats about EVE, games development, life, families, how to fix the world, etc. I wouldn't say that EVE specific chat is less desired once everyone's got a few beers in them, after all it's the one thing we all have in common so it's a terrific icebreaker!

I don;t drink, and at each gathering i have gone to i tend to play it by ear. First eve vegas i spent most of the two days talking to a few people about just eve. fan fest in 07 i did not talk much, the wife sure as hades did though lol, other eve vegas stuff was a mixed of some eve some not. I went to eve vegas last year with my wife and a long time eve buddy and his gf. it was pretty much 50/50 eve and non eve. So it really just depends.

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!
