Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I'm stuck in an endless repair cycle after downloading the offline installer. The repair tool says it succeeded when ran from the folder vs running it from the launcher. However, when the game is launched or attempts to run the game from the bin file are made i get this message :

I'm not sure what that means but its more response than i got from the game than the last patch issue I had. Ive got a really slow connection, and am not looking forward to downloading the 6.3 GB worth of files once more just to have problems again. Especially since it's likely to occur at least 2 more times with the upcoming tech 3 destroyer releases.

I've tried talking profanity to my monitor after the launcher failed to patch, when that didn't work I decided it was time to clean up around the house to tidy things up and try and remain positive while the offline installer downloaded, still no luck. From there it was supper time, so i cooked spaghetti with some toast. Patching takes quite a lot of energy and after busying around waiting for large files to download one must masticate. A couple of hours after eating I notice the files are done, and it's time to install. I see the familiar old installation window, and the installation occurs like it used to. So at this point the apology phase to the monitor begins, hopes to play eve become high, and thoughts of anticipated support tickets and thread posts are dismissed. The installation finalizes and the launcher pops up, and greets me with another waiting period for verification. I wait out the bar once again, and receive the lovely error message quoted above. I follow the recommended procedures, and wind up infinitely looping, wasting my evening, Tomorrow I plan on eating leftovers, doing minimal dishes, and being bothered to all hell by this patch again. RIP one more patch day.

Day 2 of no EVE.

Restarted my FULL Client re-download for install, and I am getting a whopping 26 - 56 kbps. At this rate, I will have the client downloaded and ready for install by Friday.

Assuming the download completes, I'll still have another gig or so do download for the Tiamat patch.

Has CCP said anything about a fix coming for this issue?

Newish player about to unsub because I cannot log into the game I am paying for going on three days now.

Stuck at 0% 2/3. It begins to download it multiple times and resets to 0 and eventually stalls. Ran the repair tool last night. It downloaded about 1.2gig. Exact same patching issue this afternoon.

Downloaded the launcher again from the link in this thread. The launcher now doesn't finish loading. Most of it is white. Account, customer support, patch notes, etc buttons at the top work. Rest is white with two broken image link icons like in a browser. First run of the repair tool after this downloaded 20mb. 2nd run says no problems.

I am in Ontario, Canada, so whoever suggested it was somehow related to Florida... It is not.

I am also on a 4mbit/s connection and multiple other ppl in this thread have stated a full reinstall resulted in the same problem so I wont be trying that until CPP has something, anything to say on this matter.

Just curious but are you guys downloading on a wireless connection? For such a large download, a wired connection would probably serve you better. Surely a late reply but I hear these issues all the time but I never have them on a wired connection. Good luck to you all though. I know it's frustrating as hell.
