I never make female avatars in any games i play (seriously).

I feel that my avatars are an in game representation of myself; and i ain't a girl.

I don't need twitter. I'm already following you.

Made my character more like the hot girl I tried hitting on in the bar and then left the bar with 3 broken ribs, a broken nose, an eyesocket I could no longer see out of, 5 teeth missing, and 2 fingers I'm pretty sure I won't be using anymore.....

None of the above.

Dersen needed an alt. I decided to make the alt his sister, so I pulled up a large-scale portrait of Dersen and moved most of the characteristics over: long face, high cheekbones, large mouth, cold blue eyes, strong and athletic build, questionable sanity, and she's the more artistically inclined one (University of Caille instead of Fed Navy).

Beauty wasn't a consideration. I went for "could plausibly free-climb a 2,000 foot cliff just because it's there."

I made Milana when I was drunk, but I did know what I was going for - petite, French, and pouty. There was no inspiration, I just wanted a toon that I could use to trick dudes to giving me free stuff. Turns out she works wonders.

I am a regular human female that breathes oxygen and feels emotions. My avatar is a representation of my actual human body, not a generic simulacrum generated from randomized features by a sentient machine.

I've gotten compliments on the portrait, but that's about it.

No surprise there.

It's obvious you are a guy just by glancing at your portrait. Women players don't tend to make a ho to be their avatar. They generally make realistic proportions and tasteful or understated makeup.

There are exceptions, of course. But not many.

This is another resculpt of mine, an Achura who I decided would go full Geisha. I made her nose somewhat beakish, to make her more personable / down to earth / realistic.

I've tried turning different races into stunners, but it broke the sense of realism for me. It can be done, though. I think the most successful examples of breaking the mold goes to Khanid femmes. They turn out quite successful but it's a striking departure from typical Khanid.

Random examples of successful Khanids pulled from Newedenfaces

Tez Saurus
Kaaeliaa
Ariel Ordion
Pyralissa

Maybe it makes me crazy, but.

My characters aren't modelled after anyone irl, but they have distinct personalities in my mind. I don't know when it happened, but RP with them is automatic now, and I don't have to try... they tell me how they think or feel, and there's no conscious algorithm that I use for it. I don't identify with them, but I recognize them as real people, more or less. They're not Mary Sues, either.

Kaaeliaa can't be a random Khanid example. Big smile

Khanid, and proud. On topic though, with the exception of market alts/those that rarely see the light of day, I try to mold them into the roll/profession they take within New Eden.

Yeah, seriously. My male avatars aren't any more realistic than my female ones.

I couldn't make an accurate character if I wanted to, as you can't make characters fat in the current system :P

Try this fella, especially in full body view.Lolhttps://gate.eveonline.com/Profile/Adolf%20Ehrnrooth Could be a pretty good representation of the person sitting behind the keyboard.Blink Also look at his corp history for probable alts. This guy is a true artist with the character creator.Pirate

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

I went for a "Sigourney Weaver" kinda look, for her amazing role as "Ellen Ripley" in the Alien franchise.

Then added some extra's... many extra's.. then some makeup etc. Roll

EVEBoard ...Just over 60million skill points, each skill was chosen for a reason. I closed my eyes & clicked another skill to train... "BINGO...!!!" ... "This time i got something usefull"
