Well, for me the point of the remap is that I may use it at anytime and to do some focused training on a couple areas, or whatever... Having remaps gives you that ability, the old way you would have “say” 2 remaps, you could do a quick focused training on some areas for like 145 days, after that you would use your last remap that would trigger the 12 month period to get available once again, that works for me, if now things become the way you say they will, what is the use of remaps then?

Why would I use my normal remap NOW option first? It seems obvious to me that anyone with that option wants to hold it for last, no? I don't want to start any timer at this time.

First let me use my Bonus remaps as I seem fit, when I'm out of the Bonus ones then revert to the normal ones.

Why creating such confusion with stuff like this? Why CCP?


PS: Why do you translate/mix remaps into days?


Starting the timer sooner means that the timer ends sooner. The timer ending is when you get a new "normal" remap, so the sooner the timer ends, the sooner you get to use another remap.

Old system: I have 2 maps, I go focused for x days, go balanced and am stuck for 1 year.

New system: I have 2 maps, I go focused for x days, go balanced and am stuck for 1 year - x days.

New system is strictly better, as you can emulate the old system easily by waiting to use your new map.

Christmas gift..? Where? I see nothing about this in acct management screen, am I missing something?

So how long do I have to wait to be able to redeem this or see it show up on my attributes screen? Logged out and back in, no "redeem gift" icon and nothing new on my attributes screen. My friend already got the fuel block BPOs.

Um apparently it's been available for a while but is unavailable now? How come there was no news article that gifts were available?? The only way I learned about them just now is this thread.

Man CCP, you do something good with Crucible and then **** on us with things like this and you wonder why we have no faith in your company.

When do the bonus remaps show up? If it is supposed to be there now mine did not get added. Had 2, still have 2.

After reading post below mine I figure I better provide more info.

Remap Available has been Now for some time (weeks).

Still shows remap available now.

Should have 3 bonus remaps, shows 2.

Have the problem on my second account with the missing "neural surgery" xmas gift.

It seems the bonus remap is only available, when the "neural remap" is available "NOW".

1st account (ok)
Neural Remap Available:
Now
Bonus Remaps Available: 1

2nd account (missing the remap)
Neural Remap Available:
2012.03.23 ...


On the account management page, I can see the transaction was done:
12/20/2011 12:11:55 PM 1 x Holiday present 2011: Neural Surgery Free

Good morning

Loged in on my three accounts, one who selected implant got it's gift, but two who selected neural remap has not received theirs. Gona wait a day and cee is there anyothers with same issue and what gona happen.

Same problem here. I had and I still have 2 bonus remaps and a Neural Remap 2012.03.15

Other people have their stuff already. I will give you guys a day or two then I will make a petation.

The remap appears to have been given to the character with the LOWEST skill points on an account and not the character with the highest skill points. This appears to happen on all accounts where more than one character exists.

Better work out a way to fix this fast or your petition queue is going to be long enough to keep GMs busy until June. No joke.

Edit - same thing has happened to two other people so I'm assuming this is a global screwup and not specific to me.

+1 confirmed

2 accounts x 2 chars (main chars with up to 20kk sp + twinks with 30k and 1,2kk sp accordingly) - bonus remaps now available on both accounts for twinks... Shocked

It's so cool to get christmas gifts for unused chars, i'm so happy and so proud of ccp...

Remap for Mainaccount landed on my alt that never ever had trained something (Jita marketscout Ugh ).
The Remap for my second PvP account wasn't handed out at all... normal remap will be available in may 2012 and thats all.

That totaly sucks and im starting to get pissed. This totaly screws up my skillplans i came up with after the remap anouncement Evil


I'll hope this crap will be fixed.

downtime has passed. same thing on my two accounts! on my second account i have only one character created and he didn't get the bonus neural remap. pls fix it

+1 to that, no-skills market alt seemed to auto gain the extra remap - joy What? should've been a redeemable item (to char) instead of station) like the other gifts

Confirming this. I did not receive a bonus remap on this character despite having selected it as gift.

same here no remaps on ALL accounts thats an awesome gift I must say why thank you for that! Why did I even bother to select this gift in all accounts..
