I predict that the next chapter for PI will be player-made clones or implants made from BPCs and PI.

Should be something to think about but as we have witness with WiS, the vocal majority says that this game it's about spaceships and not about avatars walking and similar stuff.

Common misconception. WiS is a misnomer, as it's clearly solely a forum function. If it were an actual part of the game, there would be... something to do with it in the game.

Thus I suggest we rename WiS to something more appropriate.

How about "Posing on online Forums"?

You're funny. You actually believe Star Citizen isn't the greatest gaming scam of all time.

Just remember, you voluntarily gave your money knowing that you had no recourse.

I'd like to see an Alpha Centauri like mini game to EVE planets.

Not counting on it though.

No, we need a Galactic Pokemon.. We go to planets and capture them.. Fedo & Friends.. Then we 'pvp' with our animals in space.

EvE is about money and power... and using skill, deceit and douchebaggery to achieve both.

Let's focus on what EvE is and always was.

I can think of a dozen things I'd like changed about PI and not a single one of them involves landing on the surface of a planet.

The current PI GUI needs some serious work. Rewiring a factory planet is currently an exercise in tendonitis inducing clickfests. I'd like to be able to launch to a POCO without being in system.

Those are comparatively simple fixes that would have great 'quality of life' benefits.

This and the long-awaited corpse launcher keep me interested.

Well in 2007 some minds at CCP had idea's for the future like SC is selling now, it was even beyond that what SC is creating now or trying. I bet everything SC is building they have ripped of from the forums at S&I. well it sort of feels like it all are idea's from past forum posts at EVE. they talk about VR as well.

Planetary landings as offered by those new space games are just gimmicks. ED proposed having a procedurally generated galaxy and people ranted and raved about how they'd never get bored of it because of its size, only to get bored with it in a few months. Now the new thing is being able to land on planets, because people still haven't realized that adding more procedurally generated crap isn't going to make the game any more fun in the long run. It's a textbook example of people thinking that they want something and that it's going to be epic fun, but they're going to be horribly bored of it in a very short period of time. It sounds nice, but that's all it really is.

Most people would try the landing feature maybe once if it were implemented into EVE and then it would be forgotten about and it's the sort of gimmick that you offhandedly remark about when telling new players about EVE.

In short, it's too niche and gimmicky.

They need a Deathstar... or maybe orbital bombardments to destroy competitor's pi installations.

Landing on planets would be awesome though.
