From your idea, I guess that you haven't read the lore behind EVE about us players being capsuleers.

Also this topic is very reduntant, please use the search tool next time.

And of course give us an option to turn the entire feature off so we can get on with the game.

EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided"

Look to the lower left of the gantry when your character is walking towards his/her ship. Your pod is there, open and inert (yes, it is actually THAT small... it is Jovian Tech afterall).

So no... the lore still holds.

Look at your character. Do you look like a horrific monster more machine than man, and your avatar is actually just a synthetic projection to help you interact with the non-capsuleers? No? The lore doesn't hold.

The only way around the whole "mortal-out-of-the-pod" issue is by installing DUST implants into your character. However, this still will not allow you to control your ship to its fullest as that requires a more "complete" uplink and the stasis of your fleshy body (because anyone will have trouble trying to control two "bodies" at the same time).

Which still negates the entire need for a pod, as besides being the machinery for copying and transmitting your memories to a new clone across the cluster, its breach was also the trigger that initiated the process. DUST implants, if we were actually using those problematic Sleeper-derived items with nasty side-effects, would make all of that unnecessary. You just need a chair ala the Matrix.

So let me ask you, immortal master of the galaxy, did you sign off on using these new, rushed implants developed by the Amarr (nice folk who would never try to control another human being by messing with their heads) for the sole benefit of sitting on a couch to watch television?

If we're using DUST implants, then the lore is that we're all a bunch of idiots.

Fair trade, IMO. WiShip for lack of pod immunity.

WiShip is a great idea. If you are WiShip and you get attacked, then you get thrown around worse than Captain Kirk on the bridge of the enterprise and you DIE. Permanent death because there is no pod to transfer your memories back to the cloning station.

Sounds great

If you ask me CCP has been stuck in a balancing trance for about a decade...
forms are swarmed with pvp fanatics helm bent on sucking the souls out of people...
and quite frankly i love the idea

From a computing scientist perspective there would be huge "load" ...
like when you access halls between ship bridge and ... i dunno ... entertainment center ...
there would be load time..

so i just contradicted myself cause that time is equal to the time the character traverses there.

Bump and LOVE It.
