It is possible to bypass the EVE Launcher. This is accomplished by navigating to the EVE Client application, and starting it.

On Windows the EVE Client application can be found at \CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe

On Mac OS X the EVE Client application can be found at Contents/Resources/Eve Online.app inside the primary EVE Online
application.

On Mac OS X you can run the client (cider) directly by running /Applications/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/EVE Online.app/Contents/MacOS/cider

NOTE: this is not a supported use case, and is only to be used in extreme circumstances.

Good call. I can launch the game from bin\exefile.exe knowing this I will only have to use the launcher to update the game. The bitter vet in me hates that thing. The drop-down box has a weird zoom effect that messes with my OCD and seems to cause problems like this one here.

I was playing when it went down. Said something about being removed from socket. Then nothing. Launcher was giving the offline mode only. Then nothing but a white box. I have tried the repair tool and it doesnt work. Uninstalled and downloaded the client again with all the same results

double click and open. Worked for me after 20 fails on launcher.

Confirmed for me also. California on comcast, exefile.exe worked fine.

Able to log in 2 different clients with launcher Northern Wisconsin, USA.
Account management site seems to be the only thing I can't access.

I, like others, am also down.

I get a variety of responses from the launcher. Sometimes, I get a straight Offline Mode response. Other times, I get a white frame, followed by some sort of missing file report; as if it is looking for some sort of online manifest file. These two instances are the predominate responses.

say a payer for the dev. that there hands will be swift to plug the main frame back in asap

I connected for about 10 min through the back door links...(all of them) and then it just looses connection and are not able to work again

How do you log in if you have a steam account when the client is in offline mode. I can't use the exefile.exe since I don't know what my username is. Any thoughts?

Well my status checker said things were working, but trying to use the launcher just made it freeze...

You need to get those cats out of the server room. They're clearly doing more harm then good...possibly even eating the server hamsters!
