Cannot connect to launcher, repair client does not work.

Following error.

URLError: urlopen error [Errno 10060] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond: 'http://client.eveonline.com/patches/premium_patchinfoTQ_inc.txt'

Reset router, Checked upload/down/load (fine atm). Based on Verizon.

evefile.exe does work.

Having the same issue.

The launcher either just shows a white box and nothing else, starts up in offline mode or in the very rare occasion where it does work, does not let me log in to the game.

Tried starting .exe in the bin folder and it works, but it says "unable to connect to port 26000"

Any ideas on what's happening??

and if i go directly from exefile.exe (inside bin folder) sometime i get another error message saying

"Connection failed - Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong."

Also for got to add that sometimes when the launcher just dies instead of actually starting up, I get the same error message as the OP.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Same issue here. Launcher starts up in offline mode or you just get a white window. I can browse everywhere. However, I had problems logging in to post. I kept getting network timeouts. Running EvE Online directly from exefile.exe in the CCP/bin folder works just fine.

Conclusion: CCP broke something in their network.

Same issue. Verizon as ISP, up in the Northeast.

having a similar issue,

ATT is the ISP, Nashville area,

Im getting :
Unable to access remote info-file.
Remote Info-file could not be fetched.
http://client.eveonline.com/patches/premium_patchinfoTQ_inc.txt
Please check your internet-connection.
If the problem persists, please contact Customer Support by filing a petition.

Additionally i cant access the url listed it times out.

Same issue. It started around the time the kiddo's got off the bus. I am on a Time Warner residential connection. This has happened a few times over the last few days. The problem can both times be traced back to the hand-off to Tata at Time Warner in Chicago. I also see a lot of latency leaving the New York Tata link to London.

Of course other services like WoW remain online and at significantly lower latency but hey what does that matter. Twisted

Same issue.

repair.exe and full reinstall did not resolve.

Verizon FIOS in NYC, playing on Linux.

I can get online using the exefile.exe launcher aswell.

Same, Launcher File not working

However shortcut exe file is that skips launcher.
