This is rich, thx for the entertainment haha.
And yet your stupidity never occurs to you... it's amazing.

This is my final post in this thread, since I don't particularly like to feed trolls. Everyone can see that you're trolling your own thread and killing it in the process, except you.

Here, I bolded and italicized the part that is clearly trolling. You probably do know you are trolling, and thereby killing whatever point you originally had, but whatever, it's your life. You want to be considered an idiot in this thread? Fine.

I think you just called me a poopy face and stomped off feeling like you took the higher ground. I think your stupid because you can't be bothered to read. This assertion I stand by in both video games and in life.

I am fond of trolling people like you...

But the OP is filled with helpful and informative information. This is part of what I do in real life and it is amazing how a little knowledge can help people. The post is for people like that, my trolling is for people like you. Have a nice day Big smileBig smile

TL;DR summary for the sake of people not wanting to peruse every last bit of info...

ACCORDING TO THE OP:
* you (most likely) get type 2 diabetes mainly due to glucose in too high of a percentage of your diet calories, whether you eat more calories compared to how much you burn (side-effect, you get fat) or not (stable or even losing weight).
* you (potentially might) get rid of type 2 diabetes by mainly eating much less percentage of glucose in your diet calories and by also at the same time exercising enough so you burn more calories than you eat (side-effect, you get thinner).
* everything else is mostly details that don't really matter all that much except for academic reasons.

The spoken-about details in that third bullet point are either the things you will ignore and go "like, duuh, we knew that already, we don't care about the fine print", or the things you will use to start an OP flamefest about (even if you agree with the conclusions, but especially if you don't).

Way off Akita T...

You just quoted all of the common misconceptions. Shocked

I just quoted what YOU SAID in short form.

"It is not the “Fatness” that causes this downward spiral it is the FULL GAS TANK of your cells. Or, yes, lack of physical activity and what we call our modern sedentary lifestyle. The end result is not only insulin resistance, but system wide inflammation throughout your entire body. That inflammation is the cause of 90% of all diseases as we age, not to mention it makes us age faster."
"The People Who Reverse Metabolic Syndrome & Type 2 Diabetes are individuals who BOTH exercise and lose body mass. Only the combination of these two things will create a marked improvement in both your blood sugar and your overall health. The reason for this is YOUR CELL’S GAS TANK!"
"That however is not enough to reverse metabolic syndrome and it’s complications[…]It is ONLY when those fat reserves begin to deplete that we SEE A MAJOR CHANGE in how your body functions."
"How Should I Eat?[...]refined carbs are everywhere[...] the word “refined” means a slow acting poison. Plain and simple.[...]The worst thing you can do in the morning is blast your cells with carbohydrate rich cereal.[...]You need more protein [...] then anything else[...]reduced carb[...]exercise[...]Eat more vegetables![...] Not all fats are made equal.[...]Get your ass up out of that seat at least once an hour and get moving!"

So my TL;DR is almost exactly what you said, repeated in shortened form.
The only difference being I forgot to stress the lack of physical activity for the first bullet point a bit more.

This is the common assumption. Glucose "too high" is not really the root cause, it is the sedentary lifestyle itself. Even a lower carb individual who never moves can develop insulin resistance. In some cases even someone in ketosis can develop it (but that is a totally different subject) It is cells not in motion at all, that is the beginning of the syndrome.

Akita T wrote:

You will, It is not potentially. Unless you have type 1 diabetes or extremely limited pancreatic function you most defiantly will see a dramatic improvement. Also, the exercise itself only needs to be in excess of daily calorie consumption in the reversing stages. Once there, even a moderate walk will reduce cellar glycogen to a sufficient degree provided that you stick to your dietary routine.

Well I guess that depends on whether or not your dealing with someone who feels like knowledge will empower them.

The problem with TR;DL and not reading, is that you miss things and take them out of context.

From some one that has worked in the field of Health and Wellness field for over 10 years I applaud your attempts here EP, but even in your very simple explanation of the Metabolic Syndrome, you go over the heads of an extremely large portion of the worlds population, much less the population of gamers.

The main point for the general population is that we move way less then we did when the 2000 calorie diet was instituted. Therefore, a majority of the industrialized world’s population should start eating less on average while drastically increasing locomotion.

All of this should be done in a controlled manner over a period of 6 months to two years as the two behaviors one must target are related quite closely.

If people do not want to get my simple message then they will definitely not even remotely begin to comprehend your bloated post... no offense meant.

Now this... is a good TR;DL. It conveys the facts without altering them or taking them out of context.

Thx Slade!

What is funny is that obesity does actually make you stupider lol
It has something to do with how inflammatory processes effect the brain, combined with less mitochondria.

Ok by popular demand here is my TR;DL

If you ducktape your legs to your body for a few months and eat normally, you will get diabetes and it wont go away. They actually did this to rats, with real ducktape.

I hope that was sufficiently stupid for everyone! Big smile

You know what?

I have actually been heard saying there is no better way to subdue a people then to give them the right to do what they 'want' and then feed them and make a majority fat and lazy. There is no better population to control then the slow, lazy, unhealthy population.

Cardiovascular disease kills way more people then guns, drugs, and murder combined, yet we see no laws against the leading and controllable precursors. Not that I want laws to prevent over eating and lack of exercise (I am not that fascist Twisted) but I want the opposite.

I am by no means a tin foil hat individual by nature or preacher of revolution or classism, I see myself as a realist. I call it how I see it.

FAKE EDIT: Man my first post above was butchered by me Oops I apologize for the bad English. I will fix it momentarily.

To be a little more clear. They did not stop companies from putting MSG in their products. They said if you want your products to be sold in our market they will not contain MSG or your resturant may not use products containing MSG. Also, you have to trust the FDA, who is so overstretched it is not funny, that their team did quality testing on the products you purchase.

Addendum: Most 'nutritional' supplements are not regulated by the FDA. So if you are using protein, creatine, or any other exercise substance, do some research on the product and the company. Even if the product does what it claims it is not guaranteed that the type you got actually uses the real stuff while replacing it with some inert substance, placebo, which costs little to nothing.
