The larger of the two is probably more of a mesa than a butte.

To be fair there are plenty of player run live events and NPSI fleets now. Do CCP really need to do it when players can organise these? Although if Devs were to randomly take control of an Incursion and start smacking in local and randomly DD'ing people with their Polaris Frigs it would be hilarious.

Eve has a HUGE Lore and NPC base where I see no reason we can't have both. Some like the Story elements.. Some are just here for player content.. no reason you can't have both. No one is forcing your PvP fleet to show up to some live events or anything. Just as no one is forcing Carebears to show up at battles like Asakai or anything. It would be great to have all the options out there.

Personally speaking, one of my fav times in Eve was the Battle over Caldari Prime. Most of the Griefers were locked up due to system cap, and everyone who was there to have fun in the event was for the most part able too. It was a blast.. now the next big one, for Ghost Sites, was just a clusterfuck. But still no reason not to keep having them and keep trying..

The should randomly drop Drifter Battleships into the incursions...the look on people's faces when their blinged out faction BS gets one-shot would be pretty funny.

Make it a little more competitive...sort of Evolve for Eve. Player-bosses versus everyone else in random, non-published live events.

I for one am not inherently opposed to this. Tradeoff? Same thing needs to happen in Low/Null/WH's during your big Fights.

Fighting to evict people from a WH and BAM, Sleeper fleet. Cap Brawl going on? BAM. Bloodraider fleet. Good for the Goose, good for the Gander right?

it would be interesting if the ones they chose to open up on first in null depended on their standings with their faction.

shoot one too many blood raiders for free iskies? might bite your butt in the next big fight.
