Ladistier VI - Moon 4 - President Bureau

Busy hangar crews can be seen working in the background as Rinai Vero enters the camera drone's field of view. Numerous damaged Frigates and Destroyers can be seen undergoing repairs, but there are also brand new hulls being directed into recently evacuated berths. A moderate amount of chaos is evident as newly arrived personnel in FDU uniforms assess the facility. Mlle Vero has a look of barely rested fatigue, having changed into fresh GMVA flightsuit and mostly washed away the accumulated hydrostatic fluid residue of many hours spent in her Pod. She stands at ease in front the camera before commencing her announcement.

Citizens of the Federation, my fellow comrades of the Federal Defense Union, and esteemed colleagues on the IGS:

Several hours ago final formal Federation control of the Ladistier system was completed after combined FDU aligned forces routed the State Protectorate occupation. I am pleased to announce that with major combat operations concluded the system is currently stable and in uncontested Gallente control.

At 22:00 Hours on 2.20.117 GMVA launched Operation Autarch with the objective of recapturing the Ladistier System.

At 01:19 Hours on 2.22.117 after combat operations supported by Pilots from nearly every FDU aligned organization our combined fleet successfully bashed the Ladistier iHub and completed our objective.

This operation could not have been a success without the sacrifice and dedication of the many Pilots involved. Particularly, I would like to recognize the Pilots of the Blue Phoenix Legion [BLPHL] who had been engaged for several weeks in contesting the system before our operation began.

Additionally, those Caldari pilots who opposed our campaign deserve a salute for their spirited defense. One Pilot, TruBach Bird, proved himself a true Hero of the State by repeatedly engaging our fleet. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned in every engagement, he nevertheless destroyed numerous GalMil ships while sacrificing many of his own.

It is our hope that with the Presidential Bureau Station back under Federation control that the citizens of the Border Worlds will be better able to communicate their interests to the leadership of the Federal Union. In the spirit of that hope Villore Accords Alliance will be hosting an event celebrating President Roden's inauguration later this week.

All Federation Pilots are invited to join us for a display of Fireworks celebrating Freedom and Unity for the people of Ladistier and the Gallente Federation! If you would like to attend, please contact me via EVEmail for details.

Swinging pendulum and such.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

It was a pleasure to fly alongside our allied Gallente militia pilots to retake this system, against some sporadic yet fierce resistance.

As a point of fact towards the previous replies of this thread, Ladistier has been under Caldari control for the past two months, and before that, has been under consecutive Caldari control for around a year. This operation is only one of several that are attempting to uproot the pervasive and long-lasting Caldari presence throughout the Essence region. I look forward to future successful missions in this area.

To our Caldari opponents: stay out of our way.

To put things in some perspective, according to Concord database, there's been only two systems that have switched sovereignty the past two weeks in the Gallente-Caldari conflict zone. One is of course Ladistier, as the Gallente boast here. The other is Oto, a system in Citadel space that switched back to Caldari.

To me that sounds like a fair exchange, a system in one of the faction core regions has been swapped for another system in the other faction core region.

The other militias should really start publicising every single achievement, too as this would be everybodies definition of a good time.

In other news Pilot Tuulinen undocked in record time, last night. The jubilant pilot put his victory down to getting both his feet into his jumpsuit at the same time, coupled with not wearing underwear. Military experts believe that "Double-footed freeballing" doctrines are likely to spread through all four militias.

This has been a report on behalf of totally uninteresting news INC.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

I find it strange how it can takes days or weeks for a system to flip..

but only 3 hours for a planet to flip....

How very droll.

Taunt away as you like, I'm hardly here for PYRE approval. Pilots under my command in this campaign flew hours of combat sorties, kept up high morale despite losing ships and crews, and in the end achieved our objective swiftly and professionally. I find their accomplishments worthy of praise.

Ah, bugger. Does this mean I should have posted dramatic, cinema-style congratulations to the gallant pilots of the Caldari militia for retaking Oto a week ago?

Perhaps you should stick to operations you actually participated in?

Don't worry. I'll have Mantel voice the broadcast over a properly cheery marching band. It'll be grand, and will probably poach some mercenaries from your side anyway.

Please sacrifice more pilots.

Whatever you will do in your system, please be aware, that while gallente occupants will stay in Black Rise and on Caldari Prime, all those sons of *censored*, who will dare to put on gallente uniform, well, they will die everywhere.
You won't be able to hide from justice neither in low, nor in high security space.
We will find you and will hunt down each of you.

And have a nice jam.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

In memory of Tibus Heth, Caldari State Executor YC110-115, Hero and Patriot.

By all means.

Honestly, from what I gathered looking through the combat records the CalMil forces involved, mostly the Templis CALSF Alliance, put forth a determined effort. They deserve to be congratulated. And why shouldn't they be? Its not like Caldari Militia has had persistent issues with low morale or anything, right?

Why do people keep saying we sacrifice pilots?

We sacrifice ships people, We pilots are immortal.

Congrats to GalMil.
