That is just beautiful. It is almost poetic.

To the OP; it is coming up to Christmas. Expect things to slow down a bit until around the 4th or 5th of January, 2012. People will begin travelling to be with their families, doing last minute shopping and generally getting ready for the festive season.

I know, it is not much of an excuse, but even CCP devs / CSRs and so forth are human. Give them a bit of a break on this one Cry

Curiosity compels me to ask. I've been playing EVE for just under a year now; so I'm still very much a froob. No cause to submit a petition yet. What is going so badly wrong that you have "several" open?

Can you give a list / rough idea, please? (I'm really curious, that's all)

Hello there,

Your petition is in the queue and will be addressed when a Game Master reaches it. Following the release of Crucible we saw a rise in petition numbers as more players are playing EVE which naturally results in a higher number of petitions. The good news is that all of Customer Support are pulling a massive shift today to try and kill the queue so expect lots of petition answers coming out in the next 24 hours Smile

Considering a bit back , when asked what amount of Petitions a day are filed, a Dev stated the avg was about 1200 a day. Makes me wonder what it peaks at after a expansion Pirate

GM responded I received.
Not the one who wanted to, but at least an answer.

I hope our correspondence with him will not last, and then wait for four days, the answer is unpleasant.

Mine are a POS access issue and PI materials that dissappeared when the PCO change over happened.

I have one open on SIngularity that must be over 2 weeks old by now. Also submitted a bug report related to the same problem with screenshots, still nothing. It's not a new issue as if first reared its ugly head about a year ago. A bit annoying being unable to use certain ship class and I don't want to waste hundreds of millions of ISK on the live server to test a problem that is over a year old. Evil

According to the test server info, customer service doesn't address petitions made about test server issues. Your petition was/will either be ignored or will go straight to the trash can.

Thanks I didn't know that. I'm fairly new to SIngularity. As for the bug report there has been no word back on that but I trashed the ship in question and deleted the fits and redid it. I can play around with my Proteus again until it screws up... again.Straight

I thank the GM Support.
Even though it took a little longer than I expected, but they were very careful with my question and fully answered.

I'm in my forth decade of software development experience. In that time, I've seen great results from rotating developers into support roles. Most of the time software development is compartmentalized to the point that developers really don't get to see the long-term effects of development decisions. Having developers answer customer support tickets allows them to see (and sometimes feel) the pain their decisions cause.

Having developers as support is not always a good thing, a good deal of developers are narrow minded and there for have problems understanding other peoples problems especially if said problem is not explained with in there view of things.
Then again maybe developers are allowed to hidde to much behind big screens, maybe they should be pulled up more.... in to the sun :)

I had a fair number ticket over my time in eve and never had a problem, even on the more hard ones. do not believe the eve forum it full of whiners and negative people.

FWIW I have always gotten quick petition responses, I haven't always liked them, but they are quick (in terms of a business workday expectation, not mouth-breather basement dweller)
Always ... Never ... Forget to check your references.   Peace out Zulu! Hope you land well!
