Probe IDs

I used to have the probe IDs 'floating' beside each probe as I scanned. I could center the screen on a probe by clicking on the probe ID, but now the ID has gone AWOL. Is there a way to turn the ID back on? If not, is there a way to center on a probe? I tried left clicking (no go) and centering does not appear in the right-click drop down menu.

I just double clicked on the box and it centered today....

It did for me once (I think) but then would not do it the next few times I tried. Still playing with it to figure out all the minor changes...

Haven't done any probing today (since the most recent patch) but generally the IDs come back if you close and open the scan window again after the probes have moved from their initial dropped position.

Thank god someone else has this bug! I am not alone! :D

Yeah its terrible and forces you to focus camera on different objects and it gets very annoying once you get below 1AU.

Had it happen occasionally before, but like others said, it went away after switching to normal view and back to map, or just entering and leaving options. But since today's client patch (that among other things "fixed" solar system names and tooltips) probe IDs appear to be gone for good.

Alright, just tried scanning and it has indeed been screwed up by this latest patch.

The issues now that I can see:

---As mentioned, probe IDs/labels no longer show up, and as far as I can tell there is no way to get them to appear. So there's no way to center the camera around probes. (It's still possible to center the camera around signature hits that are found while scanning, but that's still less than ideal.)

---Bookmark labels DO show, permanently now. So if you already have bookmarks in the system you're scanning then the screen can get fairly cluttered.


These are fairly significant issues for scanning, would be very much appreciated if a fix could be looked into.
