It seems that people in this game are sad why war dec a peacful corp that cant fight back..... when i was in high sec we got war dec'd and it just made my corp not pl;ay for a week as they were camped in station.... they couldnt fight back...

This is both un fun and unfair as people PAY to play this game.... so they had to pay to not log in.... which is ridiculous imo.

Yes Eve is a sandbox but doing this doesnt benefit anyone if anything it just makes players leave Eve.... 2 people from my corp decided to go back to WOW because they got camped in a station in our small cvorp against a huge merc corp that war decd us for the sole reason that the majority of the corp mined... and they dont have the balls to go and get fair fights.... so they pick on miners/industrialists.... they then proceeded to camp the station making playing either ridiculously unfun or not an option....

IMO the whole WAR dec system needs looking at.

it is just this situation you just describe we are into also
And i totally agree with you ..

it is unfair for paying costumers

i give a little example
we have a 60 people corporation
54 not active because of war-decks and 10 active (to keep things going)
50 x 14.95 monthly descriptions =€ 807.40 whats cccp = missing now every month from a group of 67 members (from just one (1) corporation)

and yes if people stay away for a month you can asume they stay away because of lost of interest
(they simply forget the game)

nice ads and movies are not bringing them all back...

so i really do think they are in need of a good working mechanic for wardecking
and it is in need to do it fast they loose every day money on this unwanted system

Ahh, but you fail to take into consideration the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of subs from people who take pleasure in the tears of the weak and also would not hesitate to shoot the Jita monument if CCP caved.

Luckily, CCP is good and faithful to ways of the viking, spreading but a "HTFU" in their wake.

It's because this is a PVP game, and wars, just like in RL, don't have to be agreeable by all parties. For example, Poland probably didn't like it when Germany invaded.

Don't forget a small fact, 2 weeks after Germany invaded, Russia invaded from the other side :P poor Poles

They did keep on fighting though and were awesome.

hi all,

I was wandering why a treu neurtal corporation (passive corp)
can be war decked by anny corporation randomly in Hs

what i mean is that a real carebear mining group with no intention to war or anny aggression
is just being war decked random
there is no tactics or diplomacy involved at all
there is the space councel (doing nothing)
Concord (doing nothing)

it all ends up in no fights
and only compulsory holidays

what ends up in a disbanded player base in the long run

i think that mechanic needs a better upgrade or solution

You have to realize that the player killers cannot handle the PVP of lowsec and nullsec any more than non-combatant players in highsec could.

So they have to blanket wardec to they can fly around easily to get PVP and green up their killboards - something they cannot do anywhere else - just like a highsec "carebear" might want to fly around easily and do missions or gather resources.

The former will of course pretend to have some superiority over the latter. But in the end, it's bear versus bear, only one is after stats and the other is after ISK.

By best advice is not to fight them. Fight them, and you will get listed as someone who provides them what they want. There are ways to deny that. You can drop corp or play something else.

If you play something else, you might just keep an Eve client open and use AFK cloaking in noob ships and pepper the region with corp members. That might keep them interested enough to search around, but not get targets. There are other games to play in the meantime.

Welcome to Eve!

What you are failing to understand, is that as a Miner / Miner support you are flying a ship that by design, is essentially unarmed against anything that is not a belt rat. You are in an area specifically designed for your ships, and with a isk / hour return that economically prevents you from hiring other ships with superior weapons to protect you.

You are not the valued customer here. You are the CONTENT for the valued customers.

If you want to be a neutral miner, you need to remove yourself from the "content pool" by disbanding your corp and only using adequately tanked ships. That will protect you from war decs and casual gankers.

""If you want to be a neutral miner, you need to remove yourself from the "content pool" by disbanding your corp ""

i know i can do that, BUT...
i am to much involved with that corporation to unsubscribe me from the corp (its not practical)
things has to be done.. to keep it going..

ps. perhaps a dooms day weapon on a miner is a good gesture perhaps now valued customers understand the impact

Mining IS aggression, against the wallets of other miners. That makes you fair game.

i think you miss the point
if a miner in a barge shoots you (drones) in hs
concord deals with the miner

If you are worried about players "making risk free ISK" you are going after the wrong group. Mining is one of the lowest ISK making activities in the game. If you really want to go after players making risk free ISK, go for the station traders. They makes tons of ISK and are totally immune to both wars and ganking. The only thing they risk is ISK, and in years and years, I have almost never lost ISK in station trading.

Also, remember that its all pixels. Worthless pixels, so there is really no risk at all. Except for the subscription fee, and we all risk that, irrelevant of what we do in game.

Don't worry. Give it about half a year, and the whole war thing will be "looked into."

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

3 years in and you are just discovering this? I applaud your duration of ignorance.

The reasonable answer is clear.

LIMITS.

5 wardecs allowed per corp/alliance based on the CEO's skills. Wardec skill, 1 wardec allowed per level. CEO of corp or alliance executor corp. DONE. This gives them meaning, much like the glorious jump fatigue gave to strategic movement.

Your crime is to be uninteresting to the sandbox Eve ; cause mining/mission running safely in High Sec is rotten. Not because of you, but because of mechanics.

Just a question, imagine that tomorrow CCP decide to make mining results, 10 times better (quantity and quality) in low/null sec compared to High sec. What would you do ?

1. Stay in High Sec
2. Go to low/null Sec
3. Ragequit

Everyone knows how miners feel about it but it is what it is, you do persist on hanging around near trade hubs, why cant you move to a system far away from everyone if you want peace, as much as i dont agree with what wardeccers do there isnt much you can do apart from move your corp or stay in npc corps.

The argument happens on a daily basis and there is valid points on both sides which get to such an extent that its pointless even continuing the argument because based on the games core features they are doing nothing wrong, prepare yourself for another 200 page thread...
