Hi I played EVE for years yet never have seriously looked into the history made by non-capsulers. I read some chronicles and two books but that's it. I guess maybe mission runners have more sense about the fiction background? So please share your favorite NPC story told by your agent! Especially appreciate if you also provide the mission name or faction, cuz I may try it one day:)
Thank you.

The Anomaly gets my choice of "best story telling." It really is a miniature horror thriller in the same vein as Event Horizon (though script and production values in The Anomaly are better, I found the acting a little wooden and contrived).

Why does Quafe Unleashed have psychotropic drugs as part of its ingredients?

Why are we shipping biomass to a Quafe production facility?

Why is our agent going to great lengths to remind us that the garbage we are hauling is just garbage and that we should ignore it if it starts talking to us (not that it should)?

Why are we shipping unemployed people to an Amarr facility?

Is this Damsel actually in distress, does she just party hard, or is she the region's drug distributor?

Why don't people have better security around their warehouses full of silicate glass or Quafe Ultra?

Why are the mortals so fond of putting down riots by use of overwhelming force?

What type of pests are you actually getting rid of with those organo-phosphate pesticides?

Just how common an occurrence is it for the empires to sabotage each others' populations with massive dumps of viral toxins?

Ahhh, there's just too many good story plots to remember them all. I especially liked the story plots associated with Cosmos Agents.

However there's one mission that I will never forget - Furrier Fiasco - a Level 1 mission against Serpentis. In my opinion the mission is basically a simple rendition of an episode from Star Trek called 'The Trouble With Tribbles'.

Big smile

Oh, here's another level 1 mission that had a good story plot :

Quote:
Save The Trees (3 part) - All Courier

Seeding A Future (1 of 3)
Courier = 1 unit Frozen Plant Seeds 0.5 m3 (specific item)
Note: Item received from agent for delivery to another system.

Forest's Revenge (2 of 3)
Courier = 1 unit Cryogenic Stasis Capsule 25.0 m3 (specific item)
Note: Item received from agent for delivery to another system.

Save The People (3 of 3)
Courier = 1 unit Dem's Galactical Botanical 0.1 m3 (specific item)
Note: Item received from another system for delivery back to agent.

Basically you deliver alien plant seeds to a research station (Part 1). The seeds are actually a symbiont life form that infect a Scientist who needs to be transported to another station (Part 2). In order to save the lives of both the Scientist and the symbiont life form you have to retrieve a special book that contains info about the alien plant (Part 3).
