With the removal of clones costing money, there needs to be a new ISK sink in the game to make up for the hole left by the ISK sinking of upgrading clones.

Why not charge money for neural remapping?

One year is a long time to wait for a new remap, why not give players the option to purchase extra remaps for ISK if they so choose?

The price could be based on current skillpoints to prevent new players having to pay large sums, and to keep high SP characters from remapping every second.

Also, there could be a max amount of bonus remaps to prevent people from hoarding remaps when they are low SP and it is cheap.

Maybe add a cooldown of a week - a month between purchasing remaps to keep the time-based system?

These are just ideas I thought of whilst staring at the 10 months before my next remap P

SP's for Aurum!

Excuse me while I go fetch my spiked zombie beating bat.

No paying for SP. No paying for training speed boosts. No paying for remaps. No paying for un-training skills into free SP. Not cash or Isk or Aurum. Nothing.

No. No. No again. Let this idea die and stay dead.

We already have it in game. It's called learning implants.

And there are a lot of people, including the CSM and CCP, which are not too happy about those either.

Excuse me OP. Are you on some kind of weird medication? Something that might explain this horrible idea?

A) the clone costs were never a big deal on the whole economy scales...

B) This is litterally selling power... I just equalized my stats and now i train everything at the same speed...

EDIT: Crap, i KNOW xack... You're normally much much more sensible then this bro... What up?

There's also a lot of people who *are* happy with them too. I hope they listen carefully to both sides and come up with a new system that keeps both happy somehow otherwise a lot of people will be annoyed one way or another.

Bad idea. And attributes are probably getting changed/removed soon (tm) anyway.

every time you change it you get fatigue biased on the number of skill points you have. so low sp char's can remap two or 3 times a week, where as 100m sp char once every 100 days

Educate yourself about your choices and live with your decision.

Stop this crusade to make Eve into a game where decisions mean nothing and everything becomes trivial.

The clone costs were a big deal on the economy scale, being that every time somebody died they would have to pay to upgrade their clone.

If you think how often people die that would be billions of ISK drained per day.

If you look closely at the market you can see the slight inflation after they removed this.

I never stated this was a good idea, these were just thoughts.

Ok, this may be hard to understand, but billions...? Chump change to the economy as a whole. When talking about sinks and faucets, it's measured in Trillions.

And most people losing their clones paid a relatively small amount to replace them. At 70 mil SP I only paid like 15 mil per death. And the majority of people paid only a few mil at most. If clone fee's topped more than 1.5ish bil a day I would be surprised.

It's like saying your car gets better fuel efficiency because you threw a cigarette butt out the window and made your car lighter.

As to your unsupported claim of it causing inflation, here's two bits:

1: Rhea was released with quite a bit of other content to get the market stirring, and was released shortly after the jump drive rebalance, resulting is some significant market fluctuations. You could imagine anything if you just look closly at various points in time close.

2:CORRELATION DOES NOT EQUAL CAUSATION.
