The dude may have joined after posting this:

I'd hate to say this, but "practicing PvP" with the most notorious scammers and "goons" in EVE may end up as a short and very disappointing practice run.

Don't worry.

Public roams with Agony are public. We don't exclude anybody solely based on the reputation of his corp.

When running classes or public roams we only insist on peace / ceasefire among the fleet members. Everybody else is free game.

The roam yesterday went nicely. Dante didn't show up, though.

But thanks for the heads up!

Just go to low sec, ask the local pirates for a fight. They will oblige. Pirates spend a lot of time watching ships go by because of gate guns. They will happily fight it out in an honorable brawl somewhere. They are also PvP geeks and will be equally happy to discuss tactics and fittings...at length...with you.
Remember, they aren't actual pirates. Just players looking to PvP, and given the choice between honorable fisticuffs at the sun and forever scanning FW plexes- they will take your fight.
One of the very few rules we had when I was a pirate in low sec was to honor 1v1's.

Don't ever "practice" PVP with a stranger or help them "test their tank." Those are great ways to lose a ship. Even if it is a cheap ship you don't mind losing, the exercise is pointless. They will most likely win the fight, and will not give you any useful feedback to help you learn why, they will just gloat and find another victim.

Because helpful people don't exist. Roll I have done this sort of this with quite a few new players, and claiming that the exercise is pointless is just insulting. Having someone moving around while explaining d-scan and how to set up warp-ins can be very helpful, especially since that person is giving you the time to figure it out instead of popping your ship at the first oppurtunity.

Of course the OP is in GSF, so I kinda assume this is a troll post.

Yes, it turns out when you're in a player corporation you can declare war on people. Who knew?

Sheesh. Not what I meant. Didn't know your alliance role.

Eh. He's in Karmafleet which is their public recruiting corp, as long as you have a pulse and a reddit account you can probably get in.

There are very few people who, upon exploding a newbie are not willing to offer advice on how to explode less rapidly in the future. Moreover if you do some reading prior too the event and obtain a reasonable theoretical understanding of what you're trying to do you might even be at an advantage compared to a more generally experienced player with little PVP experience, I've seen that happen on streams before.

Also because I didn't like Paul's comment I declared war on his alliance.

Can't you get banned (even if only temporarily) for deceiving/scamming people in the new character forum?
