Connection problems along route to CCP

After recent connection issues (cannot download patches, launchers or connect to game server), I discovered the problem at 204.245.39.42 (Old Global Crossing, now Level 3 Communications datacenter) which claims it cannot reach CCP servers. Apparently this issue stretches back years and is sporadic in nature as routes commonly vary.

Since the source is clearly not within the realm of control for CCP and the issue is also clearly not going to go away, has anyone found a way to avoid this route without having pay a subscription for another service to access Eve (ie Battleping)?

Can confirm that I am also having a similar issue.

Can not download the patch, cannot download the offline mode game, the launcher file, can't run the repair tool etc etc.

I live in FL too so I'm sure that doesn't help because I've seen a lot of the people that are having this issue are in the same area.

Hey there,

Pinging TQ will not work currently because the server is not accepting ICMP packets at this time so a ping test will always fail.

When you are downloading patches your launcher connects with our CDN. Depending on your DNS you will get a different location to connect to.

You could try using the Google public DNS for example to try to get a connection to a different CDN location to see if that results in a faster download rate. I'll provide a link below.

Wow, I am glad I final found this thread. Gezz. I am having the same issue and I can tell by the route that was posted we are using the same one. This is crazy! I feel bad for screaming at media-com for throttling my internet (almost, they actually were but looks like it wasn't the issue). Do you have a email or contact number for the center in question? If we all sent them emails asking them to fixed it and threaten to go to the BBB about it I'm sure something would have to be done. Also I wonder if CCP couldn't shoot them a email. They are losing customers over this I'm sure. Something to think about. I would love to hear back from either one of you guys. Thanks.
