Skynet and C6 site farming

Hi,

Is it possible to use skynet technique to farm certain C6 cites that only have battleships?

For example, I roll a static, mass prep it, jump my tanky paladin in, go tank the sleepers, lets say 3-4 guardians. then jump my carrier in, assign fighters to paladin.

Will it work? or will sleepers shoot the fighters out of the sky?

Also, I can only assign 5 fighters to my pally right? Not the full rack of 15? I never actually tried it.

yes, it's only up to 5 fighters, and they will be aggroed by sleepers.

well if its only 5 fighters tops, dps doesn't seem to make it worthwhile. Only a 1000 extra dps.

I was thinking, warp in standard tech 2 - navy fit marauder brick, with no dps mods on it it can tank 4-6k easy, more with links... And a thanny with 15 fighters would provide the dps.

But if its only 5 fighters, not worth it.

its not terribly risky, the marauder would be tech 2 fit, possibly imp navy hardeners - 1.2bil. Thanny would be full dps fit and nothing expensive, thats 1bil, and hole would be prepped so if something enters system, as a emergency escape thanny simply jumps and closes hole behind it - or set up a small POS temporarily... No more then 2.5 bil on the line either way, but if those green anomalies could be easily half-afk'ed in this way...

Do what chap-adoring rusbears do - get a C4 W-R, build a fully skynet Thanatos, and run sites with Garmurs with skirmish links. 5 fighters is plenty of DPS. I assume the Garmurs run projected ECCM to keep the rats attention, but who knows? 5 minute sites with Skynet, 6 km/s 20 sig radius Garmurs.

They have impressed us so much with the brokenness of Skynet rating we will build some Skynet Thannies of our own and use them to farm our home sites.

Forget the Marauder go in with 3 Guardians assign 15 fighters to the Guardians and thats it.

You have an nice Tank and 3k DPS on the field!

Sometimes when I'm logging into the game I'm secretly hoping that carriers have been just plain deleted from the game.

Interesting. but setting up in a C4, too much 'effort' as they say. But Garmurs, thats a very cool idea. Risk is minimal, even if a sabre lands, whats he gona do, chase a 6km/s mover? Good luck with that lol.

Wonder how much isk does a C4 site pay out?

A barracks can pay 66mil (blue loot only, though this may have gone up slightly) to 140 mill (that was an awesome salvage day). On average it's usually about 85-90mill per barracks. As far as the others I know the terminus sucks, command posts have 2 less BS than barracks, and the sleeper information sanctum has 1 less but does have a juicy safeguard in the second wave.

Beyond doing data and relics too, I'd guess an average of 80 mill per site across the 4.

The Barracks are 86mil blue Loot since the the blue loot changes.
Averrage is around 100-105 mil

So, since I don't think anyone else has mentioned it...

Assisted fighters will trigger a capital escalation in C5/C6 sites. And the 6 Sleeper Guardians that spawn will probably crush the tank on your paladin. So this may not be a good idea.

Fighters don't spawn waves. This has been discussed before
