Has CODE. tried bumping them yet?

I'm willing to bet I can blap Drifters dead before they let off a superweapon, using some Serpentis webs and target painters to lock it down nice and snug before an 18 gun salute from siege Moroses.

Here, you wanna go crazy-go-nuts with this, imagine: The Amarr and Minmatar have shown the least distress over the appearance of the Drifters....so......somewhere in this storyline, an event will cause the Minmatar and Amarr to join forces on behalf of the Drifters/Seekers, while the Caldari and Gallente are forced to either team up or be destroyed, thus redrawing the warzones in faction warfare. Now that would be a fun twist.

I'm starting to think that these 'drifters'/'Vigilant Tyrannos' aren't actually Jove, but trying to make us THINK they're jove. Somebody, either sleepers or these guys, stole a whole bunch of jove bits through identity theft. And all the drifter pilots are virtually identical as far as we can tell. So... why do you need a bunch of exploded cloned jove bits, and then suddenly show up in heavily cybernetic bodies?

This is completely precluding the whole 'Minmitar would only work with the Amarr willingly if the literal apocalypse (not the battleship) was at hand and the only chance to survive was to join forces. The whole 'slavery' bit is still a bit of a sticking point.

Overshield/Shield:

EM: 50%
Thermal: 20%
Kinetic: 50%
Explosive: 50%


Armor:
EM: 10%
Thermal: 50%
Kinetic: 50%
Explosive: 50%


Structure is 0%.


Since Armor is its toughest pure HP defense, you will want to shoot EM.

The Overshield resets all damage to the shield.

So it'd be two shots.

I think that at some point they will just come and kill group that was killing them since they show up.
NPC factions are not attacking them , so this leaves only capsulers.
Have you noticed that they have in their corp decryption :
Controlled systems : 0
Controlled stations : 0

Technically.. Only the Amarr and Minmatar are truly at war.

Gal/Cal have occasional skirmishes, but as a general rule they don't go looking for fights. (Luminiare was more an opportunity that couldn't be passed up, than a resurgence of war.. hence why nothing really happened after it.) Hell it's not the first time a major event happened between these two powers that could have lead to full scale war but both sites declined.. Kamikaze Nyx anyone? Caldari Prime also is a rather special case in relations, being the Caldari Homeworld, and in Gal space..

As a Gal, I personally would rather be working with the Caldari, than the Minmatar. Despite history, both sides are cultural.. compatable? They were together for a long time, so they already understand eachother. Neither side has shown any interest in a major war, expansion, etc. Both have stable Gov't, strong economies. And while I feel for the Minmatar, they do sometimes act like spoiled brats. What really irked me with them was right after Caldari Prime, the Minm sent a fleet into Gal space to try and retrieve a Prisoner. Now they got beat down, hard, but if this is what we can expect from our Allies, then I'd rather be with the Caldari, where they are less emotional and more, looking at the bottom line, so to speak.

Lastly, the Alliance between the Amarr and Caldari isn't one based on culture, shared ideals, etc. For the Caldari, it's about business, for the Amarr it's a buffer against the Gal.

Not to mention the fact that on a socio-economic way, the Caldari-Galtente are likely the two most closely tied empires. Right down to joint businesses.. I don't think you'll find any Amarr-Minmatar co-op's.



It is also worth reminding everyone that all empires HAVE worked together before, as a unified force. It's how the Sansha were originally defeated. They are more than able to do it if they feel it's in their benefit (or no other choice).


Personally.. I think Gal-Caldari getting closer, and Gal-Minm getting farther apart would make for some interesting events..
But this is all a little OT for the Drifter talk.

I think we need some drifters on the Jita undock.. maybe.. 40 or so.. I feel good things could come from this :)

My assumption is that they are Jove, that either hit a limit with genetic modifications, turned to cybernetic. OR got exiled by the Jove becuase of their cybernetic mods, hence the name "Drifters". We all know how the Jove used to believe in genetic mods

They could be exploring with seekers to try and find new technologies. But I doubt that, considering how much more advanced they are.

I'm excited to see what we can learn from them though. New T3s, something like from sleeper loot (tactical destroyers), but from drifter loot (still don't like the idea of shooting them) or from SOE reaching out to contact
