I'll see what I can do. Drop me a line if you have any special requests. There's probably a few less dev comments right now because a lot of people are travelling home for Christmas or taking time off. But we've got good things planned for January ;)

Fancy some PvE, play swtor; fancy PvP play eve. If you can afford to have both on the fly (or on/of sub for the alt mmo) then good times, otherwise who cares. My only gripe with swtor are those of the disposition to say "PvP servers are for men; PvE for nooblets". SWTOR is primarily PvE orientated and the game mechanics sucks for PvP.

Sadly (or thankfully for ccp I suppose lol) no other mmo out there can give you the "oh f**k" moments like EvE can, that imo gives the game so much more depth and fun. Being cornered by pirates and making a dash to the gate (stargate sg1 style) simply isn't possible in swtor, npcs are too dumb!

Thank you for pointing that out, but i think people could have figured it out, because they would have seen my post.

I check up on the forums once in a while to keep up to date with any mechanics changes, see what the latest rage is about, and occasionally troll morons. Doing so doesn't automatically mean i'm playing eve, or have any interest in playing eve at the moment. Your attempt at pedantism has failed, you'l get no self gratification from your attempt to make me look bad. Perhaps you should go beat up a woman to make yourself feel like a bigger man.

There are ISK spammers and bots needing to get a friendly "hi!" from the space police. Cool

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

TOR sucks, and it's unlikely to attract sandboxers. however, when GW2 comes out i know that i'll be gone forever. P

You've got to be kidding. Oblivion was soooo much better

…aside from the simplistic game play, the idiotic NPCs, the smallness (yet emptiness) of the world, the lack of quests, the pointless storylines, the hilariously bad minigames, the console-ised UI, the reduced options, the horrendous character designs and voice work. But yes, I suppose the grass looked nice.

i certainly hope this involves significant Gallente buffs and soon-to-be-deployed FW changes. these are the top two priorities for EVE right now.

after that, you should probably address AF's, EAF's, Black Ops, lack of HAC role, and T3 subsystem balancing. lots of work to do.

It's a bit like stopping chess for awhile to play checkers. SWTOR and EVE are very very different games. During my time away, I played RIFT. RIFT is also a very good game but it's no EVE. SWTOR is the flavor of the moment, that's all that's happening.

Give it a month or two and they come back.

SWTOR is a fail as an MMO.
It's not because they copied 90% of WoW. It's because they didn't copy those Core 10% that makes WoW so good compared to other rubbish MMOs.

Believe it or not, if they don't change things they made very wrong, that game might loose a lot of people.

Obviously I'm not going to explain what they did wrong because no one pays me for that :D

but yeah, armor HAC'ing is all thats left for HAC's to do, and T3's do that much better. tier 3 bc's are the best mobile snipers now.

Forcing the Star Wars universe into the WOW class system is really dumb. they should have followed the lineage of the star wars tabletop rpg...

+1 for Guild Wars.. so many people didn't realize how great this game is because you couldn't jump.. aside from content.. it is a far far more innovative game than WOW from a gameplay perspective and the sequel looks like it fixes all the problems with the first game.. looks like it's gonna drop like an atom bomb.

Other than the space aspect of the games (tenuous in the case of SWTOR, given that you're not in "space" much), the two games are apples & oranges.

SWTOR is a fantastic theme park game, if that's your thing. The game has already sold well, and I suspect will continue to do so. Perhaps Blizzard should be concerned. CCP should not be, for the most part.

I played in several beta weekends, and liked what Bioware did, overall. The problem, though, is that I've lost my taste for that kind of game, with its 'theme park on rails' experience. So I didn't preorder, and I haven't bought it yet. I may, but not now. In either case, I won't quit playing Eve for it.

All my friends who I used to play original SWG with (pre-CU, Pre-NGE) are playing SWTOR and bugging me to come play. they played wow for ever it seemed lol i like games that actually are graphically beautiful, technically challenging and more interactive/immersive.

I quit giving the tyrannical Emperor Lucas my money when he(they) killed a game that I loved. (some blame SOE, but SOE doesn't get any of my money anymore either, and I love EQII but skrew SOE). I like a Star Wars movie now and then but the only Star Wars game I would ever consider buying in the future would be Battlefront 3 (and not sure that will ever be released)

I checked out some gameplay videos of SWTOR on youtube and all i could think was "graphics suck, gameplay sucks...I'd play it for free but I'm not paying for that krap" I also laughed at a PvP video where the players enter the game on a speeder bike and are flying through the air on rails over the battlefield and circling around to the ground before they can get off to fight. its a speeder bike, not an xwing or tie fighter.

And that's what it is, StarWOW, that is a very good description of it and I just cannot bring myself to play a game that won't be original with their UI and gameplay. SWTOR would have been better if played like Skyrim. lightsabers and guns are not and should not be cliky-waity-clicky-waity

Peoples rationalization around here amazes me. WoW has like 30x as many players as Eve. You can hate it all you want but assuming people won't play something because its like the most popular pay MMO makes no sense.
