When will T3 Cruisers Changes Happen?

Hello Caps. Just wanted to know if anyone knows when CCP plans to change the T3 cruisers before I start skill planning.

Hopefully around the time they rebalance Assault Frigates, which are becoming a bit 'meh' with the introduction of the Tactical Destroyers.

But, on the strategic cruisers, it's been mentioned a few times by Rise and Fozzie, so it seems like something coming soon'ish.

If I had to guess, it'll be after the last Tactical Destroyer gets released. And I expect it will also come with a re-look at assault frigs.

Just a hunch.

Not paying too much attention to this one as it will mostly be focused on the fleet based T3's.
Most of the characteristics that make T3's special will remain intact.

Proteus can have a proper combo for 7 Lows and 3 Mids, while the Legion can't. What? Not to mention LOL250 dps with a Cloak sub on. Cry

If you're worried about the length of time it takes to skill up for a T3 cruiser then really your problems aren't all that big. Once you have cruiser 5 training all T3 skills to 5 is breeze, compared to training say tactical weapon reconfiguration 5 or fighters 5... They really aren't long train times.

I was trying to decide if it was worth training for the T3 cruisers after CCP nerfs them to the ground or train for CS instead.

That they even made the "tactical" destroyers leads me to believe they will balance the T3 cruisers by raising the other three up to the power of the Tengu. Then as a blow from the flank, they throw in T3 Marauders that have the eHP and damage of dreads with the tracking of cruisers. P

The legion is good, you just gotta know how to fit it and the covertops drops the dps of every T3 to ****. (Hint: Mobile depot).
Also if you are PVE'ing with that in a non em/them area go HAM's.

Hopefully they will murder subsystems, burn them and bury them to never be seen again, and just expand on the tactical modes of the destroyers when they address the cruisers. As the number of subsystem combinations is what has resulted in the current T3 issues.

AF don't need a rethink, T3D need a pre/rethink. But yeah, I'm guessing T3 cruiser rebalance after these destroyers.

That makes a lot of sense. But, I would guess that they'll wait a few months before even starting to tinker with the T3C. Once all four T3D are out, they'll want to observe how people use them, what sort of emergent gameplay comes out of it, tactics, fits, how well the stats/modes work, etc. With that information in hand, they could apply those lessons to the T3C.

This is going to sound odd, but I wish the T3 classes didn't end up adjacent to one-another. I would have preferred T3 destroyers and battlecruisers, rather than destroyers and cruisers. Cruisers already have a lot of versatility and specializations, the battlecruiser line would do well to have a general-purpose-but-not-as-good-as-specialized ship (if they ever figure out how to actually balance T3 stuff out).

Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.
