Hi there, I'm quite new and looking to get into pvp. If you want to either practice by dueling with me or go hunt for other players together message me.

What about your corp and alliance mates?
They should be there for you with this.

Did you ask them?
If they aren't, I suggest finding a better corp.

Look for NPSI (not purple shoot it, shoot anything not in fleet) fleets run by some organisations. Spectre Fleet is one, Redemption road I believe is another there may be others around as well.

EDIT: and that, which was posted while I typed...

As above:

Why do you have to ask the public when you are in a player corp which is in an alliance. That doesnt make sense at all.

NPSI channels below in the signature.

Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

Don't ever "practice" PVP with a stranger or help them "test their tank." Those are great ways to lose a ship. Even if it is a cheap ship you don't mind losing, the exercise is pointless. They will most likely win the fight, and will not give you any useful feedback to help you learn why, they will just gloat and find another victim.

Nonsense. There is honor (or at least brotherhood) among pirates. Most of the people who would take you up on this request will not only give you good advice, they'll also try to recruit you to their corporation, because it's so darn hard to find newbies with the mettle to fight.

There are very few people who, upon exploding a newbie are not willing to offer advice on how to explode less rapidly in the future. Moreover if you do some reading prior too the event and obtain a reasonable theoretical understanding of what you're trying to do you might even be at an advantage compared to a more generally experienced player with little PVP experience, I've seen that happen on streams before.

Also because I didn't like Paul's comment I declared war on his alliance.

The only ones who don't receive advise from pirates ...
... are those who contact them with a negative attitude.

The only people who create such scenarios like you describe,
are the ones who whine and ***** about their losses.

Everyone else is being helped.
Happened to me and thousands of others.

Please stick to actual facts and leave your self inflicted negative personal experiences out.

Edit: lol Vimsy, you can do that??

Yes, it turns out when you're in a player corporation you can declare war on people. Who knew?

Hey,

I am going to be running a test tournament soon to test out how a larger thing would run, if you want you can come to that? Also, if you want to try PvP add me as a contact and put me on your watch list, contact me when you see me online, me and some of the guys i met on the EVE Uni channel are going to be doing PvP roams, was great fun last night, we all got slaughtered from a Vexer, but we killed a pod at the beginning which was worth more then all 4 of our ships! Send me an EVEmail if you want, i always have access to it!

Hope to hear from you

OP.

What might help:

Tell in which timezone / play times you usually are online.

No use of an EU guy wanting to help you when you are living in the Pacific timezone.

Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

For those interested:

My corp is organizing a public NPSI destroyer roam tomorrow in the late EUTZ (2100 eve time).

Everyone is welcome. Bring a reship or two and expect to die in a glorious fire!
