EVE quick match server!

Hi,
It’s with great worries I see demands for simplifying the game to create more PvP. Everything from removing attributes (and implants) to removing cost from ships.

As a way to deflect that from my beloved game I hereby propose EVE Quick Match Server!
A new server specifically for quick match, room style fights. Subscribers can log on to this server, pick a ship and queue for a quick PvP match. No training, no ship cost just fights.

There probably needs to be a certain amount of scenarios/types you can sign up for. Examples could be Free (any ship), skirmish (up to cruisers) capital and so on.

I believe allot of the functionality already exists so the development time could be pretty low. It would also give CCP some additional statistics, in a simple world like this how much time does the average player spend compared to standard EVE. Im expecting this to prove that standard eve should NOT go towards simplification but I could be wrong.

See this would be a win/win/win!

Suggest alternative solution (which I have seen elsewhere)

1. Allot 1 (one) system in each Empire to noobs and trainees; ban *all* PvP noob-baiting etc within it. *Expel* noobs at a certain level of SP (Concord would move their assets once they declared a new home station.

2. Allow *unlimited* PvP otherwise. I.e. throughotut he entire EvE universe. keep hi, lo and null-sec because they affect rats, belts, moons etc, but give the gankers a free hand.

3. Abandon the existing insurance system, and simply let players (carebears) select a corp to whom they pay premiums, and to whom they go when ganked to see how much they will get back.

3A Giggle at the carebear tears when they find out how much they receive.

PS I am a carebear myself, so don't think I'm looking to profit.

We should NEVER suggest to people just starting out that EVE is a game in which fights should be fair and even matches, where the results don't matter and nobody loses anything.

The test server has what you are looking for. But it's not coming to Tranquility. Go there and PvP all you want in free ships.

Oh and isolated instances where nobody else can intervene in this single server game?

Already exsists, called the test server (Singularity)

All non-consensual PVP is not allowed except in one specific system, at a few specific grids.

Everything on market costs 100.00 ISK, except faction, deadspace, or officer mods

You can set it up, log on with any friends you want, and go agree to have as many/whatever kind of fights you want.

That said, I'd like to state one little complaint about the test server... when I go on it, it seems like people play on the test server the same way they play on TQ... ulra-try-hard, doing their absolute best to only fly the best possible ships and do everything they can to get kills and not die. Why?

Because if you are trying to learn how to fly a certain ship well for using it on tranquility, fitting it well and flying in an intelligent manner is kind of important to learning how to use it well. Why would you learn to fly a kiting ship by yolo running at an enemy over and over again?

If you just want to constantly smash cheap ships into each other, go find some friends and do it, or ask if someone else want to do a t1 frig brawl on the test server.

P.S: Calling someone a tryhard is EVE is quite sad, especially when it's because people who are not even interacting with you play the game differently than you want to at that moment.

Not that tryhard isn't just a pathetic accusation in general. Someone loses to someone who's better than them at something? Don't worry, just call them a tryhard to compensate for your own lack of ability or skill at the game. It's a truly cringe-worthy attempt at an insult.

This is to provide the "lets simplify eve" crowd a outlet at the same time as it would provide statistics for CCP to look at in regards how popular a world like this would be.

I don't think i was to covert in my original post about this also being a way for me to protect main EVE from getting ruined.

And for the specific question, yes i propose that this would work as in the tournament, no one else besides the people slotted in to the fight originally could intervene.

For the same reason athletes train to win. If you train with the mentality of "oh well if I die," then there's a very good chance that same lackluster mentality will carry over into the real world (lol).

Train to win and you will.

No. Basically you are asking eve to become similar to wow's battlegrounds.

Hehe im not sure if people just done read my posts or if my English is so bad that you don’t understand it.

Im actually saying the opposite of making EVE into WoW battleground, Im saying CCP could spin up a separate server that would act like eve battlegrounds. That server would have nothing to do with regular eve except using the same ships.

Doing so would catering to the people who right now is pushing to change regular EVE to something simpler/safer to get more people into PvP without ruin the regular game for the rest of us

Don't know where you heard people asking for ships to be free, but most everyone knows that that would ruin every aspect of the game, save Pew Pew

This would also ruin the game, players who would only want to PVP would exclusively go to this server and the economy of the real server would quickly crumble from loss of ship losses.

Everyone will lose from this happening.

Learning implants and attributes simply add complexity for complexity's sake. Oh and for padding kill boards.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

If you want a quick match, join one of those 'we always wardec everyone in the game' type of corps and simply undock. Or go live in Null as a solo player. Plenty to shoot there as well.

adding my 'hell no!' to this.
