Eve - Central Refresh ?

Hi everyone.

I am not sure if this goes here or exactly what phrases to use to search for it through the forums.

I have been scanning and uploading to Eve-Central.com through there contribtastic tool. But im not seeing the items i upload refreshed on the trade tool or the website search for item.

how do i troubleshoot this or ask the devs, how often the site pulls from user contributated data?

please help and point me in the right direction.

I'm not entirely sure on this, but I /think/ eve central is no longer using that data, instead depending on CREST to feed it.

Which, in some ways, is a good thing, as cache scraping is against the EULA (they're just said 'we're not going after it.' with an unspoken 'yet')

wanted to post a quick update:

Eve-Central seems to have Switched to the CREST calls.

disclaimer: I might have misread or misunderstood to take this at your own risk

CREST servers seem to update every hour to 2 hours. that's the refresh.

EVE-Central has not fully switched but for all the data it does get it seems that it's on a 2 hour refresh. (i can't find the orginal code to check. if you know where it is PM me please)

Bottom line:
Going forward it seems Eve-Central will update every 1 - 2 hours for its data. Best guess is on the hour.

CREST is a 5 minute cycle.

However, there are 11,000 items to be queried, per region.

So while two days gone by without receiving an answer might be unacceptable in a RL business relationship, I'd suggest to lower the expectations towards us 3rd party devs a bit.

Either that or open your pockets and throw some ISKs their way for "premium SLAs".
