Even a nice Show up on the perimeter gate or new caldari gate when the gates are closed on a Sunday would do.

From the Naglfar's own description:

Quote:
The Naglfar is based on a Matari design believed to date back to the earliest annals of antiquity. While the exact evolution of memes informing its figure is unclear, the same distinctive vertical monolith form has shown up time and time again in the wind-scattered remnants of Matari legend.
I'd dare say the Drifters were making the Swaglfar BEFORE us.
I think you just nailed something Big smile

Question: How common are stars with a vertical flare and how many of those have a Drifter Monolith in them?
Because I noticed this in Ivih, Tash-Murkon region.

Has there been any testing done on the Drifters with Polarized weapons yet?

I've heard the theory been brought up before, but haven't heard of the results of testing it.

Any updates?

I've been thinking about this as well. I remember hearing people talk about how previous lore super weapons used a ships resistances against the ship. So by removing resists with a polarized weapon would it stop the super weapon?

Yeah, I am also curious how do these weapons affect the drifters and their mini doomsday machine...

Very interesting these Drifters, and very touchy. They certainly don't appear to appreciate an active lock but seemed unfazed by fireworks.

I was wondering this myself. There's a system I was in recently, sadly I forget which one, which had an Unidentified Structure And a green-coloured Star with vertical flare.

Edit: Vaankalen has a star like this, but no structure.

I haven't noticed any trends of the sorts.

Structures seems to be randomly distributed among systems around the map. As I say, I have not noticed any trends in star flares.

Structures will remain in a system if there was a Wormhole there prior to downtime. It will despawn in the next downtime.

However, the Wormholes appear to have a very high chance of spawning in Amarrian space.
Khanid, in particular.

It's where I've found about 60% of the Wormholes I've been testing.

I assume this has relevance to lore.

These vertical "flares" are there due to diffraction where the aperture blades of the camera meet (or other mechanical characteristics of the camera). All the lens-flares, Point Spread Functions, diffractions and so on are side-effects of the imaging system in use... the camera drones in our case. It's not an attribute of the light source, it's an attribute of the camera.

Imho this whole vertical-flare thing doesn't make any sense, unless your camera drone itself rotates 90° in vertical-flare systems and you rotate the image back prior to displaying it. But it looks pretty and makes systems more distinguishable... so why the heck not.

I really hope that this does not go any further than just eye-candy though... or CCP would have to add another "scientific article" explaining it ;)

I think Metro had a relatively high number of structures in it. I may go poke around there tonight.

Just wait till it comes out that Drifters can see through cloaks.

They cannot. I've already approached to within 5k m of the wormhole while cloaked and not been seen.

Thus far, I have only seen Drifters in systems with the Unknown Wormhole celestial beacon.

Next time when you guys find Unidentified Wormhole can you make a close up screenshot.

Only one I have seen so far live on server is from someone testing Zephyr on Drifter Battleship near the Unidentified Wormhole.

The other end of it looks like Thera background

Last time I checked myself on SISI one of them had probably the same light background.

Are they coming from massive systems like Thera itself, how many of them are out there if that is the case?

No way they are coming from Thera, there should be some evidence from residents so far with reports of Drifters in it.

Now, THATs incredible. Those are indeed the exact same nebulae, you can tell even though the WH distorts the image the features of the nebulae (light and dark patches) are identical.

The question is whether that is intentional by CCP or just a coincidence.

Also, Drifters have friendly fire set to illegal. Someone find a way to get one of them to attack another and get Concorded.

I'd hit that.

Given what I hear about their ships though I don't expect to be on top, or seeing her face for that matter What?
