Resigning from a corp as a CEO is too easy!!!

So 15 days ago, I wanted to give my current corp some %M isk... Then I check my corp wallet and the money was not there. It apparently got transferred to my old closed 2008 corp and of course I got no way to get it back.
I petitioned it 10 days ago, no response.

So yesterday, I try to get rid of that old closed corp listed under my personal character wallet as it showed I owned all the shares and I am still CEO. I am not able to get rid of them either as I was the only one in that corp.

Finally I right-click on the old corp name and it showed... Resign as CEO... sweet deal... I will only be CEO of my new current corp. Well, of course as you can imagine. It closes my current corp and all my assets are in there.
I am back into a NPC corp, great! Not!
No doubt here, I created another petition to have my current corp re-instated last night.

- Why would my character show I was CEO of two corps at once?
- Why did my Isk went to a closed corp?
- Why is it so easy to resign as a CEO? ( hint: the confirmation box should STATE the name of that corp. )

This is why people who don't understand how the corporation system works, really shouldn't be CEOs.

1. Its not possible to be in two corps at once, which indicates that what you thought was happening is not what happened.
2. Just because you have shares doesn't mean you are in a corp. You can give shares to any other character but you can't delete them outright. I still have shares for corps that have long been closed.
3. There is no option to "give isk to my current corp." To give money to a corp you have to do one of two things, either open the corporate wallet and click the "give isk" button or right click on the corp name through one of the show info/search result/etc windows. So, if you didn't use the corp wallet button, you must have used search or your corp employment history or something. That means you chose to give the money to the old corp.
4. If you are CEO of a corp and you gave it money, it would show up in your personal wallet and the corp wallet. If you go to your personal wallet, you'll see that you donated it to your old corp.

Finally, when you resign CEO and you're the only member of the corporation, it DOES give you a warning. The warning says that it is highly recommended you stop what you're doing and check all your assets and wallet. If you dropped corp, its because you clicked the confirm button at the bottom of that warning. No matter what happens with your petition, hopefully you'll learn to read very, very carefully before clicking anything in EVE.

Well, I hope the GM's are able to help you out.

If not you learned a valuable lesson. Check, check, double check before you hit that button that moves money from your wallet, removes roles, creates a contract, biomasses your 140K SP clone, trades items in stations, removes your rigs, trashes your titan or in your case un-CEO's you. When in doubt start searching the database/ forums or use Google. Most of the time your experience isn't just confined to you but others have run into it as well. If those do not give you any useable information file a petition.

Oh and I learned to put an alt of mine in a corp I'm about to abandon, just in case of you never know. That way I never lock the door with the key on the other side.

Good luck dude.

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate the time you took to write back.

It felt like 4 years of assets were gone in 4 seconds.

Looks like you already redeemed your christmas present, can I have your neural remap?

Also take screenshots of how you are in two corps at once and post them.

oh, i am saying something.

I'm pointing out that you are terrible at this game, for a four year old character to have only one lossmail and zero killmails to his name

Its not like you can even use the excuse of running missions for the past four years with a security status of 0.5

So i'll ask you again, what have you been doing for the past 4 years?

Wrong.

This is why EVE's corporation interface needs a MAJOR overhaul in the worst way.
