Contract expiration time

Just curious really, wondering why contracts don't have a specific endtime shown and whether said time is extended when there is a bid?

I swear some contracts with 'Less than a Day' left go on for considerably longer.

Thanks to anyone who bothers replying P

Contracts have a specific end time and they should show accurately up to the last hour, but auctions are a special case. There you should just get a rough estimate and the time can get extended by 15 minutes if the latest bid comes within 15 minutes of the expiration time. The purpose of these rules are propably to prevent people from just waiting and trying to snipe the auctions at the last second, so the highest bidder wins instead of the one with the best timing.

Makes sense when you think about it like that :) Thanks.

The problem with auctions is that they do still display the original "end" time rather than extending it - I tried to snipe a sale, didn't work, it kept on going but still showing the end time having passed by 10 minutes
