How did that Anathema die to a drifter BS as it had no offensive modules?

Anathema probably uncloaked very close to the structure.

That makes Drifter Battleships lil angry.

Just wait till it comes out that Drifters can see through cloaks.

The four major empires are certainly a possible target.
But maybe the drifters are the target. The Jove could be divided up into factions themselves. Maybe the Jove, at least the group who gave us pod technology, have a enemy, currently represented by the drifters.

Well, that could be true- however, I've always been of the persuasion that they have used the capsules to gather information- what, specifically, that information would be, I cannot say. However, I also do not think the Drifters are the "enemy" here.

The Other is a threat to the Sleepers, Jovians, Enheduanni, and certainly extends to the Drifters, who come from Anoikis and, more likely than not, the Construct. If they are indeed awakened Architects or Enheduanni under the mantle of the Tyrants, having left the construct to come back to New Eden, the only enemy that makes immediate sense is the Other- it is responsible for the destruction of the Sleepers' world P

Of course, there's a lot we don't know yet- but these are just my ideas so far :)

Other is enemy of everyone... but not the Talocans.

Just for the record, CCP:

It would be nice if either (1) you could keep the "secret" knowledge under your hats or (2) you could let those of us who care about "what our characters know" in on the joke sooner rather than later.

Tony G. revealed the "Other" years ago, and we're still having to pretend we don't know about it.

Perhaps they do have offense modules, but they are not identifiable or even compatible with known technology?

Ok, had to go to sisi to check out this.
Not keen on getting fragged over and over to learn nothing new..

So, can anyone tell me anything about the 'Unidentified Wormhole' which appear in the same system as the 'Unidentified Structure'?

http://i57.tinypic.com/ojgmbk.png

All I know so far is that the Drifter BS approach it and seems to jump through. There is no jump selection if you go up to it and right-click it.
Are those spotted on Tranqulity yet?

Not much is known yet about those Unidentifed wormholes. It's suggested they're the 'gate network' used by the drifters to move around.

It's possible, as there are no Drifters in Irjunen, despite it housing a Jovian listening post (Unidentifed structure) However there is no Unidentified Wormhole present in system.
So far, only Seekers patrolled the structure, no drifters yet.

Probably just a coincidence, but when I ran the "Independence" combat site yesterday (drone anom) it had a couple unidentified wormholes that were lockable but you couldn't shoot them.

Did some inside exploring of the structure today!

Images: Exploring the inside of the Jovian structure

Can't fly in deep, but gives some neat looks.

One thing catched my inetrest, the 'docking day' (large gap in 'front' is pointed directly at the local sun. I'm curious if all the Jovian structures have the same orientation? Could mean something, as I remember sleepers drawing energy from their local suns.

So from what I've seen, the Drifters only appear in systems with the Unidentified Wormholes, and the Wormholes do NOT appear in every system that has an unidentified structure. I haven't seen anyone say that they've found a Wormhole in a system that doesn't have a structure.

So I'm still not convinced that the Drifters and the Towers are necessarily on the same side.

I hope the Eve Birthday gift this year is a drifter frigate. Uber kickass (in scaled down form) and with the cool floaty turrets with unlimited ammo... No way to ever replace the ones that are destroyed.

From the Naglfar's own description:

Quote:
The Naglfar is based on a Matari design believed to date back to the earliest annals of antiquity. While the exact evolution of memes informing its figure is unclear, the same distinctive vertical monolith form has shown up time and time again in the wind-scattered remnants of Matari legend.
I'd dare say the Drifters were making the Swaglfar BEFORE us.

So, I am not one for investigating anything, but this "unidentified structure" caught our attention.

After doing some close, deep, and thorough investigative probing into the cavities of this huge erect structure, we found that it is hollow!

Its like it has opening for something, like a hangar....

I was on my way to the EVE Gate when my old nemesis, ADHD, reminded me that I have that, and that also (!!!) the structures are now visible!

Naturally I could not resist the siren's call that is ADHD, and our good friend Adderall is nowhere to be found, so I was like "Okay Mr. Jump Route, bye-bye!" and warped to the nearest structure.

... And lost my crow.

First the two Circadian Seekers that were there and scanning the Drifter ship started shooting missiles at me, so I stopped being a dumbass and actually started moving, MWD on fulle bore, and then the Drifter locked me, and one-shot me.

The Circadian Seekers, who most certainly did damage me, didn't even show up on the kill report.

Total damage taken: 1,490 for a travel-fit Crow.

So, do with that information what you will.
