New Speed Record with Confessor?

Curious to know if anyone's tried to set a new speed record with the Confessor. The fastest ships I've come across are somewhere in the 40-45 km/s range, in a black hole. Or about 20-22.5 km/s in normal space.

I got this up to 17726 m/s (or 35,452 m/s in a C6 black hole). With mindlink bonuses, full snake implants, Zor's Custom Navigation Hyper-Link, Quafe Zero, how fast is the Confessor ultimately capable of going?

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...

Svipul will have 4 low slots (Confessor: 5) and 290 m/s base max velocity (3.57% faster than Confessor). Is 10 m/s fast enough to make up for the missing low slot?

The Confessor with 4 ODs II and Small Auxiliary Thrusters I does 488 m/s; Svipul, lacking one OD II = 494 m/s. Pirate

A Stabber taken as a reference, since it has the same max base speed as the Minnie Tacticool destroyer. P The rest is EFT.

Just don't try to use the Stabber for the full setup - different mass will produce incorrect results when used with an MWD in respect to Svipuls final potential.

Looks like you're right. I was doing hazy math exercises in my head. :)

With 10MN Digital Booster Rockets, the Svipul could replace the Small Auxillary Thrusters I with a Small Ancillary Router I, and replace the Small Auxillary Power Core with another Overdrive Injector II for even more speed.

The Confessor could do all that as well, but already slower with 4 OIs than a Svipul with 3, the Confessor with a 5th OI would be more badly outclassed in speed by a Svipul with 4.

Until we know what the other tactical destroyers look like, I guess the Confessor would have to settle for 2nd place.

Theres not enough officer mods for this to be a real "this is the fastest ship" thread

My EFT testing shows a theoretical max of 49.8 for the Confessor and 51.5 for the Svipul, unless I'm missing something. Had maxed out Loki boosts, full impants and quafe zero, and of course the C6 BH.

That sounds about right. Do those speeds exceed the current known records that can be accomplished with current game mechanics?

I honestly have no idea what the current record is, but I'd wager it was a Vagabond in a C6

Svipul OH maxspeed seems to be ~ 30.5km/s, 61km/s in a c6 BH.
